This old madrassah has been converted into a hotel. They tolerate tourists walking into the courtyard to take pictures.

There is lots to look at in this madrassah and you will be amazed with the various crafts, especially the hats. Your wallet will be lighter after a visit.

Despite it’s history, the fact that the madrasa is now a hotel, makes visiting somewhat awkward. The outside is worth more than the courtyard.

The half built minaret is beautiful. I even think it is original. The medreseh is a hotel. Exactly like it sounds. You can go into the courtyard and see a hotel, if you have never seen one. There's really not much to say about it....More

This probably is the most recognisable icon of the city of Khiva. Always a chance to photo it from a different angle in a different light. Truly wonderful way to start our trip along the Silk Road

It is good historical site to visit. Must have a guide to give you the historical perspectives. Scenic and best for photography

Beautiful building currently used as a hotel (which is after all cloes to its original purpose). Able to wander in the courtyard and witness the peace and quiet

F you are in Khiva, you will not miss it. It can be seen from many directions as its the symbol of the city.
