Beautiful building currently used as a hotel (which is after all cloes to its original purpose). Able to wander in the courtyard and witness the peace and quiet

Mohammed Amin Madrassah is a must see sight in Khiva. As the sun sets the building lights up. There are a few cafes around that you can sit at and relax and enjoy the views of the impressive complex.

I took about more than 200 pixs there. Never enough. There are so.many beautiful buildings ang design. I consider it better than the pyramids. Much more colourful and exciting. Must visit. Yes, a lot of walking. Get good shoes.

It was originally intended to be the tallest minaret in the Islamic world. Unfortunately construction was abandoned because the Khan died. It now measures 26 metres, but it is quite beautiful

A lot of renovation but a sense of the history is still there. Tourism hasn't hit the place too hard so foreigner friendly without being too pushy.
