Join us for an unforgettable cruise in Trincomalee! From 6:30 until 1:30 we offer unforgettable Dolphin and whale watching cruises. On board we will serve you a freshly prepared breakfast. After the whale and dolphin watching we give you the opportunity to snorkel, swim, stand up paddle and canoe under cliff with the famous Koneswaram Temple. When you come out of the water our chef will be waiting for you with his delicious lunch. Sail Lanka Charter is a spin off of the Building A Future Foundation. This non profit organization aims to educate Sri Lankan youth and create sustainable businesses to help further develop the country. The group teaches people technical skills, builds our own boats and charters them. Sail Lanka Charter is the largest sailing company in Sri Lanka and currently directly employs about 20 local employees and indirectly creates jobs, mainly in manufacturing and maintenance of boats and marina's, for more than 50 people.

A must on your bucket list!

We had the best time in the Sail Lanka Blue Diamond boat. We spent one night on the boat; it was the best experience we had in Trincomalee.

Umega went above and beyond to ensure that we were on that boat as the tide was high during the dates we booked it. She ensured we got on the boat before we left Trincomalee and she gave my daughter an experience of her life by informing the crew to provide us her with a five star experience to remember.

Captain Sami and his crew were amazing as well. In a low season to sighting whales he ensured to fulfill my dream of seeing a blue whale... and he showed me two by the end of the trip. His radar for sighting whales and dolphins is commendable. The experience with the dolphins swimming with us was just magical. And all of that was possible because of Captain Sami. The overall hospitality on the boat was amazing so we have to commend each and every crew member for going that extra mile to make our experience on the boat memorable.

We will go back and next time we will sail with them in Mirissa.

Simply Amazing!

The Sail Lanka Blue Diamond is an amazing yacht. With Solar Power Panels on its uppermost deck and a Reverse Osmosis plant to supply drinking water it made us feel good as well. More than ample room size with a very efficient air conditioner, Hot water showers, a comfortable decent sized bed (I'm 6'3",) ample storage and 3 universal plug points with 2 of them located on the bed head made it easy to charge our laptops and camera batteries. The food was excellent and the crew/staff were very obliging. The yacht was very stable and even when the sea got choppy there was surprisingly little roll i.e. none of us spilled our beers. The crew was very tolerant when we partied till dawn.

Thanks Captan and the crew of the ocean Diamond. - Fabulous

We booked 10 tours because we had great experience in Ocean Diamond. Captan Samitha and Ashan chef Weere and other crew members their hospitality and guidance were excellent. We had delicious food on whole tour.
We had sea bath in mid sea that was the first ever experience in Trinco sea. They have Well trained life guardsmen they guide us very well, every time captan Samitha look after our team very well. He and his crew guided our water sport activities by teaching and staying with our team. Their experience of spotting the whales and Dolphins was superb. We are happy about the team work of the crew that was excellent. Malitha thanks for your Jetski lessons.

Don't think twice about booking!

Had an idyllic 3 days aboard the Emerald, with spotless accommodation, delicious food, the friendliest of crews and views to die for off the east coast! Helming the vessel from Lankapatuna to the Back Bay and spotting Spinnaker and Bottlenose dolphins were definite highlights of the trip.

A huge thank you to our skipper IP and his second Dileepan for making sure we were always kept safe and comfortable.

Thank you to Pramodh and Leelaka, our dedicated lifeguards, for taking the dinghy out countless times to ensure we would have the absolute best time in the water.

Last but not in the slightest least a very special thank you to Shantha, the chef extraordinaire for feeding us some of the best seafood dishes and desserts in recent memory. How he managed it out of a galley kitchen is beyond me!

If you have 3 days to spare and want to be lost in blissful relaxation with a dash of adventure thrown in, Sail Lanka is where you do it! Cannot wait to do this again on the south coast!

10/10 would recommend.

A brilliant way to see Sri Lanka as an Indian Ocean island

Just ashore from a superb 6 night cruise courtesy of Sail Lanka on their four berth Catamaran “Sapphire”. Four of us (two couples) served by 5 crew. Its a large vessel with two decks so plenty of space for both sun and shade. We sailed south towards Batticola for a couple of days before returning and heading north beyond Trinco to the lagoons at Millavelli. Plenty of opportunities for dolphin and whale-watching, fishing and activities such as swimming, paddleboarding and snorkelling with added trips to various offshore islands. It’s bring your own booze, however the three fantastic meals every day were also memorable. It was a truly fantastic experience and for those who wish to get away from the land for a few days, Sail Lanka put you back
in touch with the surrounding Indian Ocean and the real appreciation of “the Island life”. Thoroughly recommended.

The best experience and a must in your bucket list!

We booked Emerald yacht from 10-12 Sep and that was the best experience ever and the best thing happened to us in 2020 !

Dolphin watching, kayaking, paddleboarding and everything and so we all took turns in helming the yacht, which we really enjoyed.

The crew was simply amazing and they made sure that we had a great experience and went above and beyond to make sure our trip was memorable. Captain IP, Chef Shantha, Dileepa and our 2 dedicated life guards Pramod and Leelaka thank you so much for been the best ever! You guys are simply awesome! Super helpful and thanks Captain IP for teaching us how to sail and for the great hospitality!!!

Our overall experience was just magical from the start to the very end.

We will indeed go back and next time we will sail with you in Mirissa !!

Loved to have a night out

We were suddenly found the link to the CEYCAT 53’ RANGE travels . Without a second thought we booked the available date 19th October.

Qe are very pledge for the opportunity we had, the date, the night, the foods, the sea travels experiences, everything was amazing.. worth for the money we paid.
The date was well worthy done, qith smiles on all our faces, crystal was the catamaran we were given, The caption was very knowledgeable and humble 😊.. the team was very helpful, they were always there to help us when ever possible.

That was remarkable event, thanks to the team.. we love you all .

A great experience!

We did a 3 day/2 nights cruise and it was a magical time from start to finish. The food, the cleanliness, the catamaran and especially the crew. IP Tharindu Madushan, Thiliban, Dave & Lesli, thank you guys! We will definitely come back! We can only recommend it, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing and well worth it

Couldn't be more happy with the overall experience. From the team obliging to special requests and changes to the superbly organised cruise and water sport activities guided by a friendly professional and knowledgeable crew. Was an amazing experience from start to end (Trincomalee evening cruise). Best experience and fully worth the price! Thank you Sail Lanka !

Amazing end to an East Coast Trip

This was the last night of out East Coast holiday and it was amazing!

The staff, scenery and peace was great. We also saw many animals when snorkelling and spinner dolphins with the boat.
