This zoo doesn't have an entrance fee. Had visited it first in 2012 then 8 years later I visited to see the changes and it not that beautiful as before now. Yes, they add the collection of animals hunted by Mr. Singson but some animals were absent and some parts of the zoo are gone and some are destroyed. I was excited to see the snake but didn't see it that day. :( I hope the zoo will return to its famous glory :)

We arrived at the place mid afternoon, so we did not enter the actual zoo anymore. We just roamed around, and dropped by the museum. Since it was a Christmas break, there were really a lot of people. On the way to the zoo, there are a lot of stores that sell souvenirs and food.

This place is owned by singson-well known in ilocos. They own different animals, it was 4 years ago when i last visited this place and during that time the place was beautiful, what more if you go here today?
Im sure that they had developed this place and youll see more animals. They have cute horses, smaller than the usual, ask the personel how you can ride one!

If I could give a zero I would. Very sad experience. Emaciated animals. Declawed big cats, chained. The cat handled smacked the tigers face sooo hard when the tiger reacted to him waving his chip bag at him. What zoo has a museum of dead animals in the top of the zoo? Sick sick sick. If you live animals this is not the place to go. It’s so dry with nothing for the animals to eat. The kangaroo had spots that reminded me of mange. The ostrich has a lot of missing feathers. They let people poke and mess with these animals. My son loves animals and I had to remind him that this is not how we treat animals. This place should shut down. Absolute trash.never ever coming back here again.

Baluarte is one of the place you should visit when you're at Ilocos Sur. There is no entrance fee. You can either walk inside or get a shuttle for only 50 pesos per head. Snacks, drinks and souvenirs are just beside the main entrance. Great location for picture taking.

how do you run a zoo and have half of the animals be dead and taxidermied? dont know how this zoo is still running. horrible care of animals and nothing to be proud of. the governor should be put in a 6x2 cage with the tigers and lions and see how he likes it.

The only interesting thing there was the collection of dead animals killed by the Governer. Everything else was 'meh'. There was an ostrich on the loose. They should add more animals. The entrance was free, though they accpet donations. To see other animals like giraffe, lion, antelopes, you have to pay Php 250.00.

My best friend and I really enjoyed the place. There are lot of stores that you can buy souvenirs. We took a lot of photos that will remind us with the beautiful place, the gallery and the cute or wild animals. Also, we really like the museum! Will visit here again soon with my family. ☺

this place where I can truly enjoy despite seeing the animals dead. I love seeing animals that I rarely see. I love seeing the animals how entertaining they are. And you could enjoy the place because it's free. Open for everyone who would like to visit the place.

Kids would surely love the places, especially the animals. People would also be amazed how those wild animals are being caught and captured.
