We took a rickshaw to go around the monastic sites and this was one of the halts. Great site of course!

A large beautiful Thai monastery complex located within the East Monastic zone of Lumbini. One of the few monasteries with live in monks in the area and they offer lunch between 12-1pm Mon-Fri within the complex grounds.

Unlike other temples in Lumbini, Thai Monastery is white in color. Not only the Thai, other nationalities also enjoy visiting this temple. We saw many people from India and Nepal visiting this temple.

I am more familiar with the Thai traditions and this was true to them. Take water. It was the only temple I visited with fans!

Beautiful, white Thai buildings. Works with the local community and doubles up as an eyecare centre. Queues can be large and the place is closed to tourists during treatment times.

The white building is very nice to see, the temple inside is not as big as some other monastery in the vicinity. But the look is very good. It would have been better if some one is there to explain about the temple for visitors.

In stunning white, this is a beautiful monastery like the ones you see in Chiang Mai. Go there to eat some Thai sweets.

Thailand Buddhist followers have established a monastery which has a huge Buddha statue and have enough rooms for Thai worshippers. It is the best monastery in the Lumbini forest park.

The Royal Thai temple and monastery is made entirely of white marble except for the maroon painted doors, and is quite stunning. The ornate roofs have stunning detail work. There are a few smaller outlying buildings. This was among my top 3 favorite sites.

It is the best monastery among all the incredible monasteries in Lumbini. We spend more than half hour in there of our 2 hours time.
