I was very impressed with the Temple and grounds. It is very well organized to handle a large number of people, pilgrims, during religious dates. The birth place of Buddha is very well respected and presented to the public.

Every Buddhist must visit this holy place at least once in their lifetime. A great place. Nepal tourism is maintaining and protecting the place very well.

A lot of history in this place . Being the birthplace of Buddha many pilgrims come here to pray .There were several groups having prayer all around the grounds , colorful flags in the trees and flowers blooming in December .

I like the philosophy of buddhism and vising the birth place of buddha has made me more spritiual and halped me to learn the truth of life. The sorrunding of the maya devi temple is very peaceful and clean.
