After visiting lumbini temples second day visited kudan. Taxi took 2900 nepal rupees to visit 5 places kudan, kapilavasthu, other two Buddha birth places , twin stupa.

Away from main Lumbini complex, this is another important, historic Buddhist site. Well worth a visit if in the area and you have a good guide.

you must be a devotee to appreciate Lumbini or else it does not stir any appreciation and one needs to stretch one's imagination to see all the layers of red bricks.An archaelogical impression at the site and well written illustration woud have greatly helped.

This is the place the Bhuddha returned to after enlightenment to see his family. Serene, but beware of children etc. begigging. If you give to one you will be under siege by hundreds!
