we didn't expect a lot when my friends and i went to the fun valley but we had a blast. kathmandu needs more of these for the summers. i wish it would operate in the winter as well. desperately waiting for it to open in March 2015.

We went on a sunny Saturday with some friends. It was very crowded, so crowded that we couldn't even get a locker anymore. There were long queues at the water slides and when the wave pool was turned on you were standing shoulder to shoulder.
Besides the huge crowd, the attractions were also not that great. The park doesn't seem to have enough water or power to run both their main attractions (the slides and the wave pool) at the same time. It's always one or the other that's on. As a result the crowds move about as well, so if you want to enjoy these attractions your always in the middle of the crowd.
I was also missing a real pool. The only pools that they have are very shallow. For people who really want to go swimming, there is no alternative.

We stayed one month in kathmandu, and felt as if we already saw every thing, especially the kid.
We heard of this place and went there in the middle of the week, and when no holiday was on.
The kids just loved it. It was quit refreshing. The place is well organized (in nepali standards, that is). It wasn't so expenssive 600nrp for adult and 400nrp for a kid.
There is a restaurant, which we found not too expenssive either.
The place was not crowded, i believe because we went on wendsday morning.
This place is very good to get a break of Kathmandu, and do something the kids would love (which is not another stupa, shrine, or mountain to see, again...)

Its a nice attraction near Kathmandu on the way to Bhaktapur. I loved the place, specially kids would loved to be there. My sister son enjoyed it a lot and there is small play area for kids to so that they can be safe from the adult play area. The water sports are good. If yo want a break from a hectic schedule do visit this place to be free from town. I enjoyed it.

I think that its the best place to have some fun in Kathmandu in the summer. Saturdays are packed but other days are less packed. restaurant is decent. good food. they should add chairs that lean back so that we can sunbathe and watch people have fun. Improvements required at amusement park but Rs. 600 for adults and Rs. 400 for kids is totally worth it. I will definitely go again.

Want to swim and take your family for a nice place then Kathmandu Fun Valley is a great place for you. Facilities were good enough but the overcrowded at the place somehow loses its charm.

My wife and I are 72 years and just returned from 4 weeks in Nepal, and Bhutan, and Tibet. While in the Kathmandu Valley we went on two walking tours. One in the old city known as Patan and the other in Bhaktapur. We explored both areas with John Child of Friends in High Places. Mr. Child has lived in Kathmandu for over 25 years. Because I have difficulty hearing it was great going around with an American and I was able to understand everything he said. Mr Child has written a book on the area and has an incredible wealth of information and interesting stories. He provided us with two amazing days of adventure. Kathmandu Valley is a must do stop for anyone who loves history and historical sights.
