This is a five story pagoda style temple built in 1702 and is one of the tallest in the country. It stands a little over 30 meters high and has carved statues each side of the steps. up to the pagoda. One of the more interesting in Bhaktapur.

We spent about one hour there and just enjoyed people watching. The architectural designs of the temples there are beautiful and the attention to details can be seen everywhere.

Nepal is a Culturally Diverse country. As a Cultural Enthusiast i suggest travelers to Visit Nyatapola as It has a Great Significance. You will be amazed to see the craftsmanship of Newari People and helps you understand about the way of life of Nepalese of that time.

A part of what can be a half day to full day trip to the famous Bhaktapur Square, one of the best preserved heritages in the temple city of Kathmandu, Nepal. Jaw- lowering architecture all around that place. A must- visit site for anyone who is interested in historical architecture and can not be missed if you are already in Nepal, may it be for hiking, mountaineering or wildlife viewing. Easy walk around the site and very friendly locals. Must bring camera, sunglasses (in summer months) and walking shoes. Fit for any ages.

Nyatapola is by far my most favourite temple of Bhaktapur city. The temple is so high, you have to bend your neck to see it.

My friends get amazed when I take them through the narrow lanes of Bhaktapur Durbar Square and opens into the wide courtyard where this temple shadows with surprises. Amazing Temple.
