Every Amavasai day, thousands of people offer RED CHILLY' in Homa (Fire) and pray the Sakthi Amman. Now the temple charge Rs. 7500/ ( for 4 members) for this offering.Getting a ticket is very difficult. ( one must try atleat 30 days before)

Its very rare that a Hindu temple is situated close to (or inside) a cemetry. Visited this temple around 7 pm so couldn't see much difference but fairly well housings on the way. Heard that chilli powder is given Amman as "neivethiyam".
