Part of the Navagrahas that is spread in a radius of less than 50 kms with Kumbakonam in the centre. Pilgrims can cover all the Navagrahas over 2 days comfortably.

normally on sundays this temple is crowded. and you can plan to be there by 12 noon when there is a series of abhishekams, arthi etc are done. and also after this, you can give your offerings for archana.
if you book for your special pooja, you are seated in front of the deity, which offers best view. Crowded, but powerful deity,
There is no convenient public transport available to reach this place. but if you have to, then take a bus going to poombuhar( from mailaduthurai or sirkazi) and get down at dharmakulam bus stop( about 1 km before poombuhar seashore bus terminus). take an auto from there or go to poombuhar and hire an auto.
if you insisit on only public transport, get down at dharmakulam bus stop and its about 2 kms from there!

Small temple, with a shrine for Lord Ketu. Temple needs some maintainence. Quite an old temple. Ketu occupies an important position in Navagrahas. Temple has a specific legend behind the temple which is given inside the temple. One can comfortably spend 30-40 minutes inside the temple and have a good darshan.

Ancient temple is the abode of Lord Kethu and one of the navagraha temples around Kumbakonam. The drive from the temple is through narrow village roads which get very dark after sun set. You may like to time the visit in the forenoon or well before 5 PM to get back before sunset.

The main deity is Lord Shiva. Lord Kethu has a separate sanctum which is relatively bigger than Saniswarar, Guru, Sukiran, Chandran and Sevvai. This temple is situated in a historical place Poompugar, which was a birth place for Kannagi and Shiva's devotee Pattinathar.
