This temple is well maintained by archaeological dept. The Sculptures are spellbounding.But there's no basic facilities is provided here. No toilet is here.

It was built during medival india. It is used as the capital of the cholas. There is temple in the place which is worth seeing.

This place is about 2hr drive away from Tanjavur n the way to Chidambaram and is a good half day trip which is one of the best locations in this area. Anyone coming to Tanjavur must not miss this gem. A well maintained ASI site...More

Excellent plan for one day trip from Chennai by road. Got huge space for children's to run around the temple and interesting architecture. If you take prior permission from Tanjavur temple you can climb over the Gopuram to see the artistic view

the temple is closed at 12 noon.. I had visited minutes after 12 noon and it was already being closed about 3 months back. best bet is to go before 12 noon or after 4 30 pm. you can still go in to the outer prahara when the... More

If you mean the inside where God's idol is placed(Karpagraham) the answer is No.Outside the Temple you can Shoot whatever you want.Actually you find More Sculptures and Architectures only on the outer Side.Whereas on the... More
