This is an incredibly phenomenal site to visit. The intricate carving of the thousands of statues is mind boggling. There is a reason why it is UNESCO! The crazy part is how quickly some temples were built. They were constructed in less than 10 years....More

Excellent architecture and you will be amazed to see this massive temple completely in granite stones and wonder how they placed heavy stones to such heights in a period where there was no technology/digital machineries! Apart from this structural marvel, you will experience peace in...More

What options are available for travellers? are there any bike rentals? Our tentative itinerary for these two days is as below, please suggest if we have missed any important and must see places. Day 1 1. Brihadeeshwara Temple 2. Thanjavur Royal palace and art gallery 3. Garbharakshambigai temple 4. Sri Pratyangara Devi...More

You can hire a local cab for visiting these temples as it requires some amount of travel. E.g. Garbharakshambigai temple is located in a small town called Thirukarugavur which is close to 25KM from Thanjavur. Also, Gangai konda Cholapuram is close to 70KM from Thanjavur. So it would be convenient if you could hire a cab to visit all these temples in a go.
