We were totally overwhelmed by the sheer architectural grandeur of this temple. Worth visiting thanjavur just to see this temple even for those not religiously inclined. Everyone is welcome. Guide is recommended.

You can visit Brihadeeswara temple in Thanjavur and it takes about 4/5 hours if you want to enjoy the temple.Gangaikonda cholapuram is further away and also takes 3/4 hours to complete the visit. Instead perhaps you can... More
You can visit Brihadeeswara temple in Thanjavur and it takes about 4/5 hours if you want to enjoy the temple.Gangaikonda cholapuram is further away and also takes 3/4 hours to complete the visit. Instead perhaps you can visit Thanjavur Palace and Punnainallur Mariamman temple which are worth visiting.
