The unique thing to see in this monastery is embossed frescos on the inside wall of the shrine. Amazing. Seen for the first time. A must-see for art lovers.

Beautiful

One of the most impressive temples at Bodh Gaya. Brightly and laviciously decorated. Well worth a look inside.

My friends and I had chance to visit there once. It's our lucky to hear they praying in Bhutan language in the late afternoon. It's nice like a song that composed by praying and sounds of tools.

A hidden gem at Bodhgaya!
Dec 2018 • Friends
When we went to the Royal Bhutanese Monastery, we were awestruck with its beautiful architecture and design. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Buddha temples at Bodhgaya. Do add it in your checklist when you visit Bodhgaya. It is near to the Giant Buddha Statue.

We were so amazed by this piece of beauty that we ended up creating a video for it! If you want to take a virtual tour of Royal Bhutanese Monastery, you can check our YouTube channel 'The Bodhgaya Travelers'.

Tengar Monastery
Oct 2018 • Family
Located barely a kilometre fromt he Mahabodhi temple, Tengar monastery is widely visited too and has exquisite and ornate paintings and tapestry from Bhutan. The monastery is open to visitors through the day (except 12-2PM) and one could soak into the prayers, which is a divine feeling, if one visits during the prayer time.
