There is no public transportation. The only way to get there is either by joining a group tour to Wuyishan resort area which includes this national forest park, or hire a taxi. We took a taxi, the taxi drivers at Wuyishan do not use meter even we asked them to do so. It seems like the norm here. We negotiated for a round trip fare including waiting time. The journey took about an hour from Wuyishan resort area. We saw tea plantations along the way and had the opportunity to stop and took photos. As we approached the park area, the scenery changed with lots of dense vegetations. The air was refreshing, the temperature was cooler. There were scenic stops and recreation stops. We went straight to the Qing Long water fall, paid our admission for 80 RMB per person. The admission included a tram ride to the top of the mountain. After getting off, we took the stairway down to the viewing platform. We took a few photos, and climbed the stairs which was quite a way up to catch the tram back. Overall, it was a good experience to be in a national forest park away from the hoards of tourists. As I understand, this place could be very congested during peak tourist season. By the way, our taxi fare was 200RMB which included a trip to Xiamei village.
