This beautiful South African attraction is not sufficiently advertised. One has to live around to learn about its existence. This is after all the 3d largest canyon in the world!!! The whole route is a must when visiting the canyon because the views are different...More

For any local or tourist, if you are in the area you cannot miss the opportunity to take the Panorama Route and experience the beauty that this part of South Africa has to offer. It is a must see and worth the drive.

Nice drive through the mountains, good contrast to the plains. Be careful off the numerous potholes though. Scenic with pretty landscapeseven on less sunny days.

Absolute must. Gorgeous scenery. Pity you have to pay to see almost every sight but views breathtaking. Avoid Pilgrims rest. Disgusting let down sadly

I loved driving this route. The scenery is magnificent! Unfortunately the roads have a lot of potholes.

What a lovely way to see this part of South Africa. We were lucky and had super weather so everywhere we stopped at during our time in the area gave us magnificent views of the landscape and those special sightseeing areas along its route.

It's one of the best place to drive in south-Africa. The whole route is full of amazing natural scenic beauty and waterfall.

We stayed at the Graskop Hotel and spent part of the day driving the Panorama route. Although it was rainy and foggy off and on, the drive was very satisfying. Terrific inspirational views from many locations. Doesn't take long to soak it all in.

Stunning drive! Go early morning - 6-7am if possible as the clouds may raise from 9-10am. Otherwise afternoons might be good too 5pm.

Visit to Gods Window was an awesome experience well worth the effort. The drive, landscapes and views are simply breathtaking. Go there!

Just plug into google maps the highlights of what you want to see on the panorama route like Jessica Hippo, Gods Window, etc. and don’t forget a stop at Harry’s pancakes along the way. It took us 12 hours to do it all to... More

You should have plenty time. Just be aware that when I was there a month ago there are lots of potholes on the roads which slow you down. I did not go on the R40 from Bushbuckridge as when I last went on this road I found... More
