Great resort given the location. Beautiful surroundings with very polite and helpful staff. The accomdation is good, clean and air conditioned. The thatched roofs needs attention and it spoils what otherwise could have been an excelent facility.

We were travelling through Namibia by 4WD camper and nearly didn't come to Ai Ais because of the bad reviews on Trip Advisor. But I'm glad we stayed a night. It's interesting to see this end of the canyon (we did an afternoon walk into the bottom end of the canyon). We then followed this with a late afternoon relaxing... More

Once again let down by the Staff no interest in the Customers who pay their Wages. It would seem it's just a job. Rooms clean but out dated too. Beds and linen very nice. Food Average to poor. Again if it wasn't for potion with Fish River Canyon no body would stay there. Pools clean.

Our second time here. The last time we went, we were worried that the lack of maintenance will close this place down. This was a year and a half ago. And now, it almost looks deserted when you drive in at the gate. The gate was open with no one in sight. We arrived in a scorching 47 degrees, which... More

Lady at Spa was very rude and seems very unwilling to assist. Breakfast was poor - only bread & cereals available. They brought muffins out after 10:00 (breakfast was from 07:00 - 09:00). When we asked what was for breakfast we were told only bread & cereal (supposed to be continental breakfasts). The lady we spoke to was extremely rude...... More

Staying one night at the campsite: not so bad: - the outdoor pool was too hot: felt like 45°C (?) but the the day temperature was also nearly 42°C ... So we choosed for additional 10 NAM$ the indoor pool: around 30°-35°C; - the shop was nearly empty .... - no information of the Ai-Ais / Richtersveld Transfrontier Park available,... More

When we got there in February the cold pool was hot, the hot pool was cold, the food and service was awful. The design of the place is dark and depressing. I could go into more detail.... But I could have dealt with all that, but when we left we stopped at the resort gas station to fuel up. The... More

True, parts of the place feel a little bit run down and some paint would already really help the place, but we really enjoyed staying here. We slept in one of the rooms adjacent to the inner spa pools. The room was fine and had everything we needed (comfortable bed, good shower, fridge, extra space for luggage) and the spa... More

The place has a real South African national park in 1965 look to it. I think it was overpriced. Mysteriously the only way I could book with a credit card was to scan both sides and email it to them. When we arrived at reception it took disturbingly long to establish that we did in fact have a booking -... More
