THis park has something for everyone - from Kayaking, Swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking just to name a few things. We have used this park to take our grand kids biking, hiking and kayaking and have used this park for hiking and fishing. Due to some...More

The beautiful nature trails make this my favorite metropark. Pets are not allowed on the nature trails. Please do not feed the wildlife - especially the Sandhill cranes. The farm is great for the kids and there is a cafe for refreshments/light lunch. Boat rentals....More

I used to go here a lot as a kid and this place never seems to disappoint. My most recent visit was in the beginning of June 2019 when I went to look for the crane that was raising a gosling. Though I never saw...More

A great place for joggers, boaters, swimmers, picnickers and nature lovers. The woods and lakes are beautiful and the curvy, hilly roads are well maintained and aesthetically laid out. Being seniors with mobility issues we had to content ourselves with a slow drive through this...More

What a beautiful place to hike and just roam around. Birds so close to you. Nature abound. Deer spotted everywhere. Water and trails make for a beautiful sun set.

Love this park and the fact it makes some of the nature paths only available to hikers eliminating bikers and joggers. Keeping them to only foot traffic maintains the peace and beauty of the walk while allowing you to see so much wildlife. Today we...More

Kensington is a great park with fabulous paths for walking, running or biking. There are a number of parking lots to begin your journey, a full walk around is about 8 miles. Take your own water-there are some fountains at the restroom stops, but you...More

No matter what the season is...there are many things to enjoy here...walking, riding bikes, swimming, bird watching, visit the farm, ice skate, just driving in it is wonderful. Very glad it’s a park and not a subdivision of homes. Love this park!
