Kensington Metropark is the place we spend a lot time year round. You can do cross country skiing, and enjoying water sports in summer. The fall color here is so breathtaking. However, this year, the water quality is not good. You can see the gross algae floating everywhere. Hope next year it will be better.

Lots to do here. Miles of trails for walking and biking. Many playsets for children. A not so great beach but nice splash pad and water slide (have to pay extra for). Great barn yard with variety of animals.Good to get out and move around in nature.

I am about to play golf here for the first time, but I have been hiking, kayaking, and take my niece and nephew to play in the park. It is $10 for a day pass, which can roll over into an annual pass if you save 4-day passes within a year (I love common-sense policies like this). Get outside and have fun at one of the premier metroparks in the area.

This park is awesome! Has a plentiful amount of nature trails for hiking where you can feed Chipmunks and birds, though you cannot feed the Sandhill Cranes. They have great places for kids like the splash pad, water slide, and two different swimming beaches. There are great solo activities like kayaking and canoeing. So far we've went to this park every weekend since July, and I highly reccomend it for locals and visitors.
