Great for a rainy day with young children, the older ones may get a bit bored but it's not expensive and fun!

You walk in and there is a mastodon in the front entrance. Science information for all ages. The little kids like this museum for reasons the older ones don't care about. There are always interesting exhibitions presented here.

I love this place. During my visit recently to Midland, I had the opportunity to attend events twice. The first was a Friday night show featuring Flip Fabrique, a French juggling/acrobatic troupe that put on a whale of a performance which delighted my 17 and 15 year old kids. Not too pricey for tickets, and we had decent seats in... More

The Center for the Arts and the Science Museum are in the same building. Of the two, my children prefer the Science Museum, so I spend more of my time there. It is small, best suited to ages 5-10, but my younger children enjoy the musical instrument, karaoke, and gemstone/mineral exhibits.

Amazing venue. Exhibits rotate and are all top notch. The current SPEED exhibit is out of this world. Fun for all ages. There is a reasonably priced (for these types of places) gift shop as well.

As a volunteer at MCFTA I have spent a lot of time there. It is an outstanding facility with a lot of different offerings. From concerts by well known artists, plays performed by very talented locals, concerts by the Midland orchestra with a very talented conductor to classes in a variety of crafts and a continually changing museum, MCFTA has... The Center has great permanent exhibits for kids of all ages. Including the adults that take them. They also have exhibits that change periodically. It is clean, well kept and has lots of volunteers and workers to assist if necessary, The music room and the building area are always favorites.
