We did the overnight 20 mile mushing adventure. I was so impressed with the guides and the whole set up. The trip was breathtakingly beautiful. The cabin was cozy and warm. Food was surprisingly good. And most importantly, the dogs wete so happy to work so hard and we could see how well cared for they are. Such an experience.

We love Nature's Kennel! Have done the 10 mile route twice; Once this year with a family group that included four kids ages 19-14; the year before was with an adult group that included one teenager. It is a highlight of the winter! We plan to be back for the 20 mile run.

My daughter and I went in March 2020 and loved every minute! The dogs are truly amazing athletes, so well-trained, so cute and fun. The guides are competent, affable, kind, and full of energy. We did the overnight trip, and it was one of my favorite experiences to share with my daughter of all time...you should totally add this to your list of must-do adventures! It is cold, so make sure to have good warm gloves and socks. A face and neck cover is a must too, as the wind whips pretty significantly when you are sledding. They will take care of you and make sure you are dressed appropriately, but it's good to bring your own stuff and be ready. Food was great! Around a campfire. We stayed in the cabin, and it had wood stove so was warm. Rustic but not so rustic that you feel too much out in the elements. My 9-year-old daughter now wants to move to UP and live with the dogs! Tasha is a fab host. She even helped us with finding accommodations and things to do when everything was unexpectedly shut down overnight due to COVID-19. It was so nice to have her help, given that I had never visited UP and wasn't sure what to do once the ski resorts shut down. We also go to see some waterfals--beautiful in the winter with their frozen edges. Definitely do this trip!

NO CONS, ALL PROS My husband surprised me with this trip because I have always wanted to drive a dog sled team. Was absolutely right! We did 10 miles and if you love dogs, it could have been longer! Definitely layer up and have a face cover. I was perfectly warm but at times, the wind was cold on my face. Had lots of interaction with the dogs, helped harness them up and take them off. I could have spent alot more time. Will be doing this again. Our guide was very knowledgeable.

We had a wonderful time! It’s not as easy at it looks but our guide gave us novices good instructions and kept a watchful eye on us during our 20 mile run to the camp. Cabin is clean and comfortable. It’s heated with a wood stove so we stayed very warm at night. Most of the daylight time is spent outdoors taking care of the dogs, sitting around the campfire, snowshoeing, feeding the dogs and eating around the campfire. Food was great. We were lucky to have a former chief as our guide. The offerings were broad enough to satisfy every palate and were amazingly prepared in an outdoor kitchen using a propane stove and/or the campfire. Portions were generous. The outhouse has seen better days but my granddaughter and I managed just fine. I would highly recommend this experience. It also give you a tremendous appreciation for the folks in the Iditarod Race.
