Lots of great shops.

There are a lot of very nice shops to browse and several eateries and bars. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as this area is hilly. Very enjoyable!

Lots of park area with walking and biking paths. Some new development in downtown near Lake Superior. Northern Michigan university is located here. Nice small town to walk around and enjoy in the summer.

Such a refreshing mix of well-preserved old and trendy new style - the town has something for everyone.

You never run out of things to do or places to eat in Marquette. It is a beautiful town right on the harbor. It doesn't get much better than this!

I loved walking around the small downtown. I discovered a great historic bar and a trendy bar. An old soda shop appeared to be lost in time. The shops are friendly and fun. I was told that a beautiful, old courthouse served as a movie backdrop.

You can tell it is a college town by the young people that are staffing the restaurants. Smart and save it is a lovely little town with great places to eat and views that are out of this world. We loved our stay here.

We enjoyed the downtown area. We are from the San Fransisco Bay Area and this was a nice change of pace for us. It is a small area but they do have some cool little shops, places to eat and pubs. Check out the local bookstore and Superior View Studio across the street. It's an easy walk from the Hampton... More

It was pretty because it's on Lake Superior but that's about it. Unless you want to sit in the park or eat that's about it. The few shops that I saw close up pretty early.

Had a fun time checking out the book store, the used electronic games store, Michiganfare store, and a games store. We bought something from all and everyone was happy!
