Great casual and fun public golf course in the outskirts of Grand Rapids. Memberships are available. The course has a great mix of fair and challenging holes (playing from the tips). It has holes that you can be very aggressive on for scoring, and holes that will make you pay for said challenge if you cannot keep it in the fairway. The course also well maintained. The front nine is a great warm up for the much more challenging back nine. The staff is courteous, friendly and efficient. Emily is a gem! Plus, World Famous Bloody Mary’s!!

Western Greens is all of 50+ years old and it had fallen into genteel decline. However, the new owners have been putting a ton of time into resurrecting it and have done a wonderful job. It has both long, difficult and short, relatively holes and most fairways are lined with trees that you don't want to get into. If you miss the fairway it will usually cost you a shot. The greens are subtle and rolling, which makes long putts a real test. I have played there for three years and cannot think of a better venue in the area.

The course was in great shape. The folks running the course do a great job. They’re Very friendly. What’s great is that it’s a very walkable course. The price to play is very very reasonable.

The clubhouse is full of classless racist & misogynist decor, 1 example of many is attached. In addition, the course is in pretty rough shape all around. It's cheap, but not even worth the low prices.

Western Greens Golf Course is great course for the average golfer. Some elevated tees and greens. Course is in great shape and prices are very reasonable.

I've golfed here many times (usually once a summer), because it is a bit of a drive to get there. It's a nice 18 hole course that is mixed among a lot of large old trees. They do a good job keeping it looking nice. They have an okay bar area for their 19th hole.

Western Greens Country Club measures 6209 from the blue tees and 6043 from the white tees. There is water only on 2 holes. A fun course to play. The course was in very good condition when played in August 2012.
