Spectacular views and easy access! Great place to watch the sunset or just walk along the beach! A great place to vacation in all seasons!

The Manistique Boardwalk and Lighthouse are symbols of the Community. Interestingly the City of Manistique doesn’t own the picturesque red lighthouse visible from the Harbor. A kind man from Chagrin Falls, Ohio purchased and maintains it. One can walk out to the lighthouse on a cement pier at your own risk..be very careful when winds and rollers coming in! The boardwalk itself is in poor shape this year with sections washed out. Hoping that Manistique can pay for erosion control and maintain this attraction for tourists and locals.

Stopped by on our way to Newberry. Just viewed from afar but what a beautiful site! The beach we stopped at was very clean.

Very much enjoyed this boardwalk. parts of it had loads of flowers on both sides, and mostly great views. Some was washed out and walked around water or on sand, but not very much of it. Also had nature signs, etc.

We went twice. There is at least two spots you can park and access the beach/boardwalk. The first night, we walked some of the boardwalk. To my surprise, I found beach glass (purple, green, brown and clear). Some of the boardwalk was washed out but it didn't hinder your walk. The second night, we went out to the lighthouse. It was tricky because from the beach, the only way to the pier was by going over huge unlevel rocks.
