Very clean and a great policy of all the time is Quiet time Showers are clean though a little small and at peak times a little in the cold water side. They have fair prices on firewood. Close to beaches, shopping, and fishing (under 10 miles)

typical beach but unlike 1st St beach in manistee it's not as crowded and it's out of the city limits so that's a bonus and your nor to far from town in case you need stuff

My husband and I stopped for a picnic while on our way to the hotel we were staying at. It was perfect! Very quiet and clean! Plenty of picnic tables and a view that you can't beat!

We stopped here for a few hours to enjoy the beach and view. We paid a daily rate to have beach access. This is mostly a campground and then you can take a very long staircase down to the beach. The beach area has a long shoreline but it isn't very wide. It is more of a secluded beach area... More

This campground was incredibly beautiful. I was hesitant after reading so many reviews of it being busy and loud. The weekend we stayed was perfect. It was much busier towards the front of the campground by the entrance, however, we stayed at the complete opposite end. You could see Lake Michigan from our site (57) and it was amazing. The... We had our wedding ceremony at the beach house near the lake. It was perfect! The scenery, facilities, and surrounding area was great and was fantastic for a semi-outdoor wedding in June. The park staff were great to work with and helped us set up and take down. They were professional, personable, and open minded. Other folks were using the... More

We visited over Memorial Day. The campground was clean, orderly and well maintained. The bathrooms were fairly decent and clean considering the large amount of traffic over the holiday weekend. The campground is on the smaller side compared to most state parks we visited, but it was very family friendly. Lots of families with children and dogs having a great... More

I had never been to this campground and state park before. So we walked the campground, walked down stairs to the water. The apple trees were in blossom. The trail is across the street. Did not have time to walk the trails. May hike on a future visit since it is the last state park before Traverse City and last... More

We camped here over the Fourth of July weekend. Campsites are ok, view of Lake Michigan is phenomenal. You can walk down the steps to the beach. The one drawback was the severe over-crowding with people for this major holiday.

This is a very good campground. You can hear the Lake and the grounds are clean and spacious. If you want to go to the beach there is Bar Lake farther up the road or you can drive a very short distance to Fifth Avenue Beach. There is Lake access at the campground however, changing water and steps from the... More
