About
Double Action is a full service gun shop and gun range. Our indoor rifle range is the longest indoor shooting range in Michigan. We have a 50 yard rifle range and a 25 yard handgun range. We offer firearm training, CPL Classes, CPL Renewal Classes, and other firearm safety classes. We are the largest Smith & Wesson Dealer in the mid-west. We carry a full line of handguns, long guns and shotguns. If you are visiting from out of town and do not have your firearm, we have over 90 rentals available to choose from. Our shooting ranges are great for a night out with family or friends. Younger shooters are allowed- however, please contact store about specifics ahead of time.

Friendly and knowledgable staff. Lots of firearms on site. Good for pistol, rifle or shotgun on paper targets only.

The range has decent shooting facilities, although it is quite dated. It's a shame that they put handgun shooters on the rifle range as many new shooters get shook up by the AR shooters. Prices are higher than big box stores, as expected; but with that we are supporting a local business and should be getting a more personal experience. Chances are you will! You'll be spoken down to if not totally ridiculed if you get the wrong employee! They all know who he is, and if you've been there more than once you will too! Because of him, I have not/will not purchase a firearm there. These reviews have mentioned him far back as 2012 and I cannot believe he is still assaulting the public. I'd go more often and would encourage more people to go if he was gone. However I will travel 35-45 min to be treated better. Someone needs customer service training.

Have been going here for awhile and this place is great. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable people and they provide great customer service. I bought a rifle from here and the price was good but what came with the rifle, the case the mags the complimentary range time, couldn’t ask for more. I would and do with my friends and co workers recommend people to come check this place out.

A few members of the staff are very rude. There transfer prices are outrageous and inconsistently applied. I think because they strap on a gun to work each day they somehow think their special. I transferred a large caliber hand gun through there once and when the box was opened a person behind the counter began ranting on about experience with such a weapon. I have several and 40 plus years with handguns of large caliber. I thought the guy was a real jerk and did not bother to respond. I have actually transferred several dozen guns through Double Action, purchased a few there, and used the range on numerous occasions. All the little things add up but mostly the arrogance of some of the staff is just too much. I found it so distasteful the last few visits that I no longer go to Double Action for any reason. There are better places to go. I have to drive further but it is worth it.

I was just tagging along with the guys and didn't plan on shooting, but once I got there I couldn't help showing off my abilities. All the guys that were behind the counter were very nice and not condescending towards me at all. There were 4 of us and we ended up trying the H and K (my pick because I didn't want to start with anything big), .357 magnum, Smith and Wesson 460, then a small semi automatic rifle. I am converted and will be back next time we're in the area.

You can even try out their guns! Nice range! I had a good time going with my husband.It is one of his favorite places to go!

Does not allow open carry which means they don't support the 2A. There are better places around. Find one! Do not support these freedom haters!

Thank you for taking the time to review our business. For the record though, we are not 'freedom haters' or anti 2nd Amendment. The fact is, since our store serves the general public and in the past had had several customers accidentally discharge their loaded weapons inside of our store, the management decided that the safety and well being of their employees and customers were paramount and thus chose not to allow 'open-carry'. We DO allow concealed carry, as we know that these customers have had the additional training and education in the safe handling of their weapons. I hope this helps explain our policy a little better as we all strongly believe in the 2nd Amendment.

Its a pretty cool range to go and try your skills at target shooting.
But really anyplace you get to go and squeeze off a few rounds cant be all that bad. Its clean and the staff is pretty knowledgable.
