If you are an Oakland County resident you can save up to $5 per person by showing your DL when buying your tickets. It's a fun family day with out breaking the bank. You can bring your own beverage and food, which will save a whole bunch of money with active hungry kids. They have a kiddy part, lazy river, water slides, wave pool and plenty of chairs for lounging. Go and enjoy a day outside with your family!

If you do not have time to zip away to a waterpark, this is a viable alternative. I would recommend getting there a few minutes before they open so you get a spot in the shade (if you are near the splash zone. The price drops after 4, so, it becomes very crowded. The lazy river is very cool as well. The wave pool and the waterslides are still there as well. You can also bring in coolers and outside food. I left to go get get some pizza and brought it back in. Oakland county residents receive a discount as well.

We just had an amazing day with our friends. We arrived at 11am, a bit of a line, could use an extra person at the gate, but hardly puts a damper on the day. My friends and I have been taking our kids to the waterpark for the last two years and having a blast. We like to find a canopy and stake out the area for the day. This gives our kids a "home" location so it is easy for them to find us. We bought a bag of $4 charcoal and brought some hot dogs and had a great lunch. We also brought our own drinks and snacks.. I don't think anyone of us spent a penny at the snack place (so you can be very economical). We went from the kids area to the wave pool and back. Only one kid in our group used the slide, mostly because the other kids were too short or not interested. I think the highlight of the park is the lazy river! After reading the other reviews, I am surprised by the comparisons to the big water parks... This is a great county park and a great way to spend the day, I don't think this is a vacation destination, but if you were on vacation in Madison Heights I would say ENJOY!! You will have a great time!!

My husband, mother, brother (a teenager), and I went here for a relaxing day. We decided to go here over Waterford Oaks because it had a lazy river. It was a fast moving river. They also have a wave pool, 3 individual slides, and a kiddy area. It was a cloudy but warm day. Not busy at all. There were employees taking the extra inner tubes out of the water. It was great you could take your own food because it was expensive to buy theirs. We enjoyed our day.

Nice park for the kids, my only compliant was the wait in line was way to long. Gotta do better. Should offer a way to purchase tickets in advance especially waiting with young children reminds me of waiting at cederpointe.

I went with my friends here and it was very fun. There wasn’t many things to do for a could of teens, 4 water slides, wave pool and a lazy river. Overall it was pretty fun, but I would recommend for families with smaller children. If you don’t live in the area it’s $14 to get in and I think for a couple of teens isn’t really worth it. Overall nice place, with some great stuff.

We live nearby and come here often. The park has plenty of chairs, picnic tables, grills, shade, life jackets, large inner tubes and a huge covered picnic area. The park employs many well trained life guards at the wave pool as the water is very deep at one end. The other end is walk in gradually like a lake. The lazy rive has enough inner tubes for all and the slides rarely have long queues. We have never had anything stolen from our 'spot' and everyone there comes for hassle free summertime enjoyment. The park is easily accessible just 3 miles NE of I-75 & I-696 interchange.

My mom-friends and I started off going once a summer, now we are at once a month. We have a great time. It can be relaxing when we share a parental responsibilities and can actual go buy snacks or use the rest room. Wave pool is good. Now that it is August, less of the childcare/ camp groups. August is a good month for the water park!

Get there early for your tickets because some hot days the line for tickets is up to an hour long before you can even get in.
The lazy river if our favorite. The Splash Zone is great for babies, toddlers and the younger kids. It is separated from the rest of the park so little ones don't wander away. There are plenty of chairs under the shade canopies too.
The wave pool is nice but hit or miss. It seems a lot of people who don't know how to swim go in the deep end. The waves get shut down often due to non swimmers panicking. I am not sure why someone who doesn't know how to swim would go in deep water?
They have reduced evening prices for those arriving after 5pm. Red Oaks has grills, tents for rent, and a food counter. Lifeguards are all trained and the Oakland Co Sheriff is present too.

Yes, you can bring in coolers but they will be checked for alcohol. The park has grills if you want to bring hotdogs. I did not see anyone with floats so I am not sure.
