I usually stop for their coconut clusters which are my favorite, but this time I also bought their caramel corn. It was some of the best I have ever tasted. It is rich and tasted homemade! This is a family owned business and they have cool gifts inside too along with sweets. Check it out!

Great Mom and Pop shop. Husband was making brittle while we were there this time.
We were also up here on Thanksgiving and this was the only shop open and it is now the only place we visit while we are up here to buy our fudge at.

Growing up this was my wife's favorite fudge shop. They were out of the way from the other shops and I have to say I was not disappointed. The only thing that hurt was my wallet from buying my wife all the fudge she wanted for her and her family of origin.

I wouldn't know if the fudge is good because the staff wasn't friendly. They couldn't even take the time to say hello and we were the only customers in the shop.
The prices of the gifts were super expensive.

This place has a great variety of items but we would not have found it had we not been looking for their penny press. Many of the items seemed more like toys than true souvenirs.

This was the greatest place! My friend & I had some time to kill on our way home so thought we'd stop in & so glad we did! The only reason he stayed open was the unusually warm weather (& he must of known we were coming) but this place was awesome & the owner, who was working that day, was so gracious! We sampled candy & fudge & they even had a really old machine that engraved whatever you wanted into a coin-like metal. I even bought a really cute coat & boots there at a price I couldn't refuse! I go to the U.P at least once a year and I will ALWAYS make it a point to stop here! It was so much more than just a souvenir shop - it was an adventure & we had a great time here! Was the perfect ending to a perfect vacation!! Thanks for the wonderful experience & hospitality!!

There are a lot of fudge stores around here, but this one looked unique. The three staff members that I met, were super friendly and were all great at what they did. There was a wide variety of items to choose from, and customers are able to watch them prepare their tasty caramel popcorn. My pet service rabbit, Narvik; was very welcome there, and a fun time was had by everyone. Two rabbit ears up!!

RV parking and fudge immediately accessible to the Fort, who could ask for more?! Large but typical gift shop. According to the lady, they couldn't reliably source chocolate that they liked, so they make it themselves on site. She said they're the only fudge shop in town that does that. It was delicious, but I think I'm conditioned to love Murdick's the best by tradition. I just like a firmer fudge! Maybe what we need is a taste test. :) I bought six small things of fudge and some taffy and it was like $40 so bring a friend. ha ha We bought saltwater taffy for the kid with food allergies, and were horrified to discover that one food label on the front gave the all clear for his particular allergies, while a second label on the back said nope! Not so much. So that was pretty scary, and we were glad once again that we're diligent with double-checking everything even though we take some flak for being "overprotective". Try it, then tell me. So we probably won't be back. But I wouldn't talk anybody out of it or anything, it has lots going for it!

I've been here three times I think. There are plenty of fudge places in Mackinaw City (and the island) but this one is pretty conveniently located across the road from the fort entrance. I like the fudge even if my sisters swear by Ryba's on the island. It saves you a ferry ride at least.
For diabetics they have some yummy homemade sugar free treats. I really liked the cashew clusters and coconut clusters. They don't have the nasty aftertaste you get from some sugar free chocolate products. The mint "wafers" that were like oversized Andes mints weren't quite as good.
They also have T-shirts, hats, and the other knickknacks you'd expect from a gift shop. So for me it's one stop shopping.
The service was nice too and you can watch them make the candy if you want.
