Aaron Murdick's Fudge is located on Central Avenue across from Subway in Mackinaw City. WE have a blue and white striped awning. We are not affiliated with any other Murdick Fudge store. All Murdick Fudge stores are independently owned. We cannot vouch for other "Murdick" stores including those located: on Mackinac Island, Petoskey, St. Ignace, or in the Crossings Mall in Mackinaw City.

As expected, the quality & service of this location far surpasses any other shop in the city that sells fudge. Its the best!!
I popped in for a slice for myself & had a box sent to my family in New York. Got to meet the owner who is so personable & helpful & really shows his dedication to his business. Many choices other than fudge & the gals behind the counter are friendly & helpful.
Best prices are a bonus, give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

The smell alone is what brought me into the store. So many choices of fresh fudge. They were making it right in front of us. Grabbed some salt water taffy too. Definitely need to stop here if you get a chance!

While passing thru Mackinaw City, Michigan, it is an annual rite to get Murdick's Fudge! This is not a restaurant, but I put it under this category anyway. They do have a website, and you can order online I believe, and they can mail fudge for you also. The fudge is sooooo much better than any of the other fudge shops in the city, except for Ryba's, which is only available on the island. So-Murdick's it is. Same family for like-100 years. HEAVENLY!! Try the Butter Pecan or the German Choc./ w/ Walnuts. And here we are home less than one day-and it is all gone-those kids of mine....should have hid it!!

I bought 5 slices of fudge and went back to our motel to share with our family, and my girls never have been to mackinaw city and I was telling them how wonderful the fudge was. they were hard as a rock, and I went back to exchange them, and the girl said no exchanges! She was very rude about it too! She told me to put it in the microwave? I tried it and it was soft and gritty and tasted awful.......which is very sad for my girls, that was just one of many things that went wrong on our trip for them, it suppose to have been a little get away for us since my husband passed away this past dec. from cancer and I was trying to make them smile and laugh again.........the whole trip including the motel was not good!

This review is obviously not for our shop. Aaron Murdick's Fudge store is located on Central Avenue in Mackinaw City. We do not make Macadamia Nut fudge. And our clerks are pleasant to our customers. The island store was sold out of the Murdick family in 1969. We are not affiliated with them. We have no control over their recipes or rude clerks. Please understand that this store is not a "real" Murdick's Fudge store. The only Murdick fudge stores owned by the family are: Charlevoix stores, Traverse City Stores, Mackinaw City store on Central Avenue (not the one in the Crossings Mall). Any other "Murdick" stores are not owned by family members and we cannot vouch for their fudge.

This is the best fudge you will find in Mackinaw! Trust me, I know fudge. Please be aware that this shop (and only this shop) at 219 East Central Ave. is the TRUE Murdick's Fudge. It is a long story, but the Murdick's brand was sold in 1969, so the other Murdick's shops on the Island and around Mackinaw are operated by a different family.
This is where you will find fudge made by Aaron and John Murdick. This is important to me because they've been making fudge for five generations, and our family has been buying it from them for four generations.
You will find much better prices here than on the Island. I always end up bringing home more fudge than I can eat.
All of their flavors are great, but my favorite is Cookies and Cream. I would also recommend Traverse City Cherry.
Go ahead and sample the plethora of other fudge shops, but I am certain that you will agree with me that the Murdick family is still the best.

We love Fran Murdick's Fudge Store in Mackinaw City. We have tried them all over the years and we keep coming back to this one, small store. We have never had a bad batch of fudge. Our favorite flavors are German Chocolate, Chocolate Walnut, and Butter Pecan. The Butter Pecan is our all time favorite and it practically melts in your mouth, sort of like those certain brand candies that claim such! LOL.
Service has always been pleasant, and we always seem to find a parking spot close by. This year we saw that the prices have gone up, so I am guessing it is the same at all the other shops. 4 slices now-$24. A tad high. I liked the 3 pack you used to be able to purchase, but they said that is no longer available. Otherwise, $8 a slice, so we kept it to two slices this time. I think they are making a mistake with that new 4/$24!

Obviously we came here for the fudge, but thankfully we didn't regret it. There are many choices for fudge but it seems to us that we made a good choice. Every flavor we purchased was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful as we picked out our flavors.

We have only ever bought Murdick's fudge while in Mackinaw City or on the island. Don't mess with what isn't broken! Plenty of flavors to choose from. Every flavor we've bought has always been delicious. Make this your fudge shop, you won't regret it!

Love, love, love, love coming here. The best fudge in town and a local favorite. Family owned and very friendly. The teens working behind the counter are always super helpful and great at suggesting flavors to try. The hardest part and trying to decide what kinds to take home. Must try when you are in town.

Don't confuse this Murdick's Fudge with others in the area. This Murdick's has the creamiest, best tasting fudge in the area.
