I really looked forward to going to this park. Unfortunately, we were both very disappointed in what we found there. When we reached the viewing area there wasn't a place to park so we continued down the road thinking we would find more parking. We...More

Outstanding short hikes (4.5 miles) in different feeling biospheres that make each hike unique. The walk along the shore is hard but wonderful. Open 24 hours, 365 with 600 acres at no charge. Dress for 10 degrees colder than the rest of the area, shoreline...More

Had the pleasure to explore this place. We took one of the hiking trails and ended up at the beach. Scoured the beach for geodes and found a half a dozen in no time. We ended up at the soon-to-be opened Waterfront Event Center. Had...More

My friends and I went out pretty late, even though it was cloudy. We also went back during the day. It was a little tricky to figure out where to park, but overall it was a great experience. I would go back. Worth the trip,...More

First time visitor and it surely won't be my last time. Went there on a whim hoping to catch some auroras. I have never seen so many stars, it was a totally clear night and it was awesome. I cant wait to go back.

I had really hoped to check out the park and sky at night, but sadly my trip was all clouds and rain. I did decide to go hiking during the day here and am glad I did. There are great wooded areas and shorelines to...More

Went there during the day. Lots of hiking trails. It was beautiful in the woods with all the fall leaves on trees.

Let me preface this by stating we went on a cloudy night and saw like 20 star in total and 1 satellite. So, no Milky Way and no Aurora Borealis. The website says it's a 1 mile hike to the beach and it's easily all...More

Are dogs allowed at this location? I am going to be calling in the area and am not sure if I need to leave my dog at the campsite or not.

Not 100% positive, but I don't think dogs are allowed. They want quiet in this park.

Do lots of people stay through the night till dawn? Is it safe to do that? Any wild animals that will come up on you while you are in your sleeping bag?
