Take your camera you are in for a delight. The boat takes you close so you can see a piece of the past up close. The narrator tells stories of the past. How hard that must of been. Brave souls indeed. So cool the difference in designs are cool to study. That this 3 hour tour. The sheplers family is... More

If you enjoy lighthouses, this cruise is a must. They had a narrator describing everything along the tour and he was packed full of great information. As a bonus, he had a great sense of humor. My husband and I enjoyed the cruise and we both recommend it.

Picked a beautiful afternoon to do the extended western cruise. They made every effort to get close and, if possible, even circled a few of the lighthouses to maximize viewing and allow photography. Tour guide very informative and entertaining. Not inexpensive but did enjoy the tour quite a bit.

We signed up for this cruise because it went to lighthouses that cannot be seen unless one has a boat and in the case of Spectacle light, a big boat. The first part of the cruise goes very slowly thru the Les Cheneaux Islands of the U.P. It was OK for a short time then got to be redundant but... More

I highly recommend this. Great Lakes lighthouse association was on the boat and was very informative. This was so worth the money. No outside food or drinks allowed. There is a restroom on board. You get to go under the mackinac bridge!!!! Awesome boat ride! Got to see 3 Great Lakes freighters love the history lesson! Dogs not allowed on... More

Went in the extended Eastbound and Westbound cruises. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the crew very considerate. They made a point to turn the boat around at the lighthouses so that people on both sides of the boat could take pictures without having to get up and go to the other side of the boat. Definitely recommend!

Very pleased with this tour. Lighthouse historian on board provided interesting facts and features of each lighthouse. Plenty of time and angles provided for photo opportunities. Well worth the price. Bonus - had a beautiful calm day for the tour.

We went on the extended eastbound cruise and while the weather wasn't awesome (we ran into a squall that had us forced belowdeck and sitting still for a few minutes), the tour was really informative and you get closer to the lighthouses than you ever would be able to on land. The captain was great and the docent from the... More
