We scheduled a somewhat last minute extended family trip to Mackinac Island to visit my son, who was working there over the summer. Another friend had recommended the Sip N Sail Cruise, and as we had 18 people to entertain, we set it up. So glad we did - what a fun night. The staff was super friendly and accomodating. Local musician Pete Kehoe was onboard for entertainment, and played a great selection of crowd favorites. The Cruise was just long enough to relax and have fun,and we were treated to an amazing sunset as we sailed under the Mackinac Bridge. Once in a lifetime view ! All in all, a terrific night. We did have a number of children, ranging from 10 to 17, and they had a blast as well. Fairly priced, very well organized, and for those who are concerned, the staff was very respectful of Covid-19 protocols throughout the experience. Highly Recommended.

We were on vacation in Mackinac Island and I learned about the Sip and Sail Cruise. I had seen it online under things to do but I totally forgot to book it before we went. So when we arrived on the island I called and they were fully booked for that evening, but the woman was very gracious and told me to go to the pier where the boat sails from a half hour before they are set to sail and get my name on a list, if by chance there are no shows or cancellations we may be able to get one that way but we wouldn't know until 8:25 boat leaves port at 8:30.
We were second in line behind another couple and in the mean time the Captain came over to talk to us he said there are days when people don't show because late dinner or forgot or drunk LOL He was super nice explained that they cannot do full capacity yet because of Covid still but he would try to get us on we would just have to pay when we boarded.
Well it was 8:25 and there were some no shows so the woman checking people in said get on the boat and get yourself a seat right away. We did find seats but they were inside the cabin, you could still go out on deck or by the side of the boat. The people in the room with us were super nice they shared the space as they had a whole group. We didn't stay in the cabin long as it was a great night weather was beautiful not hot not cold. We went to the front of the boat then up on the top deck. They have live music playing a couple was singing and the were very good. They also sell snacks and drinks and they are reasonable. I think a beer was $5.00.
The top of the boat had the most amazing sunset that lasted at least 45 minutes from start to finish and we went under the Mackinac bridge, the view underneath made it look humungous and the colors in the sky were so beautiful. It was a great boat ride and I was super glad we got on.
The trip is supposed to be 8:30 to 10 but we were on the boat 2 hours from 8:30 to 10:30 and it went so fast.
My suggestion is book these ahead of time online as they sell out fast. We were there on a Wed night and it had been sold out for a month. Don't wait like I did secure your tickets so you don't miss this incredible tour.

So, you can't predict the weather and our 90 minute cruise just went to the other side of the island. My beef was the fact that we got one mixed drink and one pop and it was $16. That seemed really high to me plus add a tip and well you know what I'm saying. The guitar player Will Springsteen was totally awesome. He let me sing a couple of songs with him and that made it really fun for me.

Thank you for joining us on the Sip n' Sail! While we wish we could provide perfect weather each day, we appreciate you sticking it out with us while Mother Nature runs her course. We're happy that you got to do some sing-alongs with Will! We have great entertainment to whom we are always grateful for- they really make our experience. We hope to see you again.

If you dislike boating, and want to sit indoors in a stuffy hot room, this is the trip for you. There is lots of space outside, but only seating for a very small handful of people. They could easily provide seating for everyone outside, but they don’t bother and instead warn people on their website that outdoor seating is limited and come early to get it. We came 25 minutes early, and were almost the last people to board. Some people brought their own folding chairs, but if you can’t do that I’d suggest queueing up an hour or two in advance. Other people stood for two hours, but the way the few seats outside are arranged, there aren’t many places to stand. They could easily solve the problem by buying a dozen or two plastic chairs for $10 each, but they can’t be bothered. My recommendation, just take one of the basic ferries back and fourth from the island and skip this unfriendly operation.

Great cruise and had wonderful time for our 41st wedding anniversary. I booked the sunsrt cruise that leaves at 8:30pm and returns at 10pm without realizing that the last ferry that leaves Mackinac Island leaves at 9pm. Molley changed our reservstion to a Sip & Sail cruise at 5 returning at 6:30. So unless your staying on Mackinac Island overnight, do not book the sunset cruise. Thankfully Molly was gracious enough to take care of my mistake. THANK YOU MOLLY!

The views were beautiful. The weather cooperated & the sunset was breathtaking. The beverage service was great. The facts regarding the Mackinaw Bridge were awesome. Very informative. The only disappointing part of the trip was the lack of outdoor seating. Either you need to reduce the number of tickets you sell or provide additional outdoor seating. The formation of the couch & side chairs does nothing to hold multiple guests. Perhaps you could take those away & add additional high top seating as well as simply adding additional gray wicker chairs distributed around the deck. Pre-boarding began at 6:15, we arrived at 6:21 & there wasn’t an outdoor seat to be had.

Awesome trip—we’ve already decided to do this cruise again when we go back to Mackinac Island. We bought tickets online through the website; they send an email boarding pass and also have your name and the number of people on a list they’re checking at the ramp. When we went, the sky was mostly cloudy, but there was enough light to get a nice sunset. The weather was chilly (2nd week in October), but the crew passed out fleece blankets to passengers who wanted them. The cruise passes by the Grand Hotel and heads out to the Mighty Mac bridge. You actually pass under the bridge, so you get to take pics underneath it. The live entertainment was very nice—Lara Fullford played the guitar and sang. Very smooth and mellow sound, which was perfect for a couples cruise. Drinks were good—beer or mixed drinks. You’re able to move around the ship while the cruise is going on; we started out on top, then moved to the small front area, then went inside on the way back when it was too dim for photos. Well worth the money.

We enjoyed a sunset sail with our friend who works on the Island who recommended the excursion. The ship is spotless, drinks were plentiful and tasty, the scenery was amazing and Captain Molly was a phenomenal host. It looked like rain but the crew knew the weather would clear by the time we got to the bridge and it was so better than that as we had a perfect rainbow to make the trip extra special. My wife got cold and Captain Molly gave her the jacket she was wearing so she could stay outside for the sunset. We had been on the ship when it was in Marquette for a tour years ago and they have only made it better. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Being under the bridge was our favorite part of this sail. The view is spectacular and makes you marvel at the fact the bridge was built over 60 years ago. From the time we arrived to departure the staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. We wanted to sit up top so we arrived a bit before boarding time. The music on board was great as was the variety of beverages to enjoy. We would highly recommend this cruise for anyone looking for a new experience on the island.

Music was great, but you couldn’t hear it inside, where it was super hot. No air conditioning and no breeze inside. We were told to be there at 3:30 for a 4pm departure, but, by 3:30, most people were already boarded and there were no seats outside where the singer was. Service was not great for drinks and for snacks, all they had were potato chips. I could see where younger folks might enjoy it more because they could handle the heat and don’t mind standing up. I was disappointed and thought it was very pricy for very little.
