Lovely Shop on Mackinac Island
We visited this shop yesterday while spending a day on the island. Martin was very knowledgable about the area and shared some great information about the design of the pieces in the store and how they tied into the history of the island and the area. The products here are lovely and very well made. We will definitely visit again.

Must Stop Shop!
I stumbled into Threads and I am so happy I did! I started talking with the worker and he explained how they are the only store on Mackinac who designs their own logos in house. I was so impressed with that and the quality of clothing. I bought a sweatshirt and it has quickly become one of my favorites! I can’t wait to go back and visit next year.

Quality unique designs reflecting the spirit of the Island
Thank you for bringing quality products and shirt designs back to the Island. This took me back to my childhood when I visited Shirt Tales to pick my Island shirt as a keepsake. It has been years since I bought anything clothing on the Island and am happy to say I now have a new favorite place. The sweatshirt is beautifully designed and the quality is outstanding. Thank you!!

When you are on Mackinac Island leave Main St. and head up Astor St. on the right hand side you will see the Threads of Mackinac store. They have original Island designs on shirts, caps and jackets. The store offers quality merchandise and great personal service. You won’t be disappointed at Threads of Mackinac.

Shop small, original designs

Threads of Mackinac is a small shop but offers a big benefit in the way of hand drawn original designs. Shopkeeper was super helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. My long sleeve t-shirt is super comfortable and has a great design!

Unique Designs, Great Shop

If you’re looking for a unique, thoughtfully designed t-shirt, this is your place. The team has put their creative energies into offering visitors multiple cool, unique designs. You’ll find nothing else like this on the island. The shop is clean and the staff is very friendly. Morgan was so nice and helpful and was eager to explain the designs.

Cool designs, great service!

The original artwork on the apparel makes this shop stand out from the other souvenir stores. If you want something that is creative and unique to remember your trip, you must stop here. The staff is also very sweet and helpful. We had a particularly nice experience with Morgan.

Friendly and Informative Staff

I recently took a solo vacation to Mackinac Island as I had some time off of work. I was a little nervous about traveling alone, however upon stepping into Threads of Mackinac my worries were immediately eased. Staff member Halina was so genuine and friendly that I felt immediately welcomed into the space. She answered every question I had with a smile on her face and I learned a lot about the store's unique merchandise/designs as well as the culture of Mackinac Island!

Awesome service

WOW. Hannah was such a huge help! I’ve never met anyone so caring about their business that also put customers first. She made sure everyone in our family found the right size to fit their needs, and even went the extra mile to make sure we found exactly what we wanted before we checked out. In contrast to many places on Mackinac that are just focused on tourists, this was the one small place we didn’t feel like tourists for half a second. Thank you Hannah! We will be back because of you.

Wonderful shopping experience

Threads of Mackinac is a store you must visit! They sell high quality clothing at reasonable prices. The store is beautiful inside and out. It is well maintained by their staff. It was a very nice shopping experience. I would highly recommend Threads of Mackinac.

Unique meaningful Clothing with an Amazing AssociateM

This store was unique. At first I wasn’t sure about the design of the horse because it looked like a chess piece. However, Halina, the sweet store associate, explained how each part had meaning. The mane of the horse was made of pine trees found all over the island, the space under the horse’s neck was the shape of the island, then there was the little bike and the waves of the lake. I loved it and bought it. I also loved that Halina helped me with size and fit and also shared some of her story. Hope you check out this shop and have opportunity to meet Halina!

Amazing!

The Threads of Mackinac is such a cute store!! Away from the main Street, it is truly a hidden gem!! There clothing is of high quality and super unique designs! I feel like all of the rest of the stores on the main Street are just the same thing over and over. But in here is completely different! Ilias explained a cool little story behind one of the shirt designs and it just made the design ten times cooler knowing what the artist thought of when they made it! Had one of the best experiences here! Ended up purchasing 3 items and will definitely be coming back for more! Ilias was so nice and patient, just an overall cool guy! Customer service was on point. He did a great job.

What a fantastic store! All of the shirt art work is designed in the shop and it looks great! Morgan Collins really worked hard to help me find the right shirt and the right size. Truly it was good old fashioned personal service. I will shop here again!
