Nice historic house, parts of the house date back to 1780. The plaque says that it is probably the oldest house on Mackinac Island . It is built in the Quebec rural style. Great visit to a great historical house.

Accessed with your ticket from Fort Mackinac. It is the oldest house in MI. Be sure to note the height of the interior doorways. The re enactor in the house was very knowledgeable.

A step back in time with a history lesson from versed docents. Docents were well educated about their building and time period. They were friendly and welcomed questions and conversations. We enjoyed our trip to the fort along with visiting the historical buildings.

Admittance to the house comes with a fort ticket. Well worth the price! The actors are very knowledgeable and very similar to colonial Williamsburg. Make sure to visit the old buildings that come with the fort ticket.
