Todd and Brad enjoy visiting and sharing their love of photography with everyone that walks into the gallery. One or both of them are here most days. The duo has also become recognized for their photography workshops. They are now offering five different photography workshops, with options for total beginners as well as seasoned professionals who have been shooting for decades. We had an amazing weekend with Todd and Brad Reed Photography in Ludington. Both Bob and I learned to operate our cameras on full manual. We learned how to build great shots instead of just taking pictures. From Friday night until Sunday at noon we were non stop learning or shooting. By the second shoot were were amazed to find ourselves metering, reading histograms and adjusting our cameras. If you've ever considered taking a photography class we both think these guys are great teachers as well as amazing photographers. Oh, and the food....mmmmmm.

Stop in and take a wander around the gallery. Most of the time either Todd or Brad are in the shop. Talk to the photographers and you will soon learn that there are no "secrets" here. Want to know what settings they used for a particular photo... just ask. Want advice about a shot you are working on... just ask. Super guys who are more than willing to share their work, experience, and photography knowledge.

Todd and Brad Reed, father and son, are tremendous local photographers. If you love Western Michigan, be sure to go to their gallery or catch them at local art fairs, because you're sure to find an image that speaks to you. We love the "coffee table books" they have made and have given them as gifts to family members. We also have their images in our Kansas home and have given them as gifts as well. Lighthouses, beach scenes, the Badger, storm images, animals, orchards, whatever "floats your boat" you'll find in their gallery.

So don't get me wrong it does take s good eye to take good photos. But really hundreds of dollars for pictures that we take with our phones? No thanks! Save your time and spend it at the beach instead of in this musty smelling building!

I cannot get enough of these guys' work! They have a great eye, and the equipment to produce the best photos. I will be going back to purchase a housewarming gift for my daughter. Worth the stop.

We stopped in their gallery after the Ludington Ball drop to warm up and to look around for any newer pictures. And of course we found some, another 10 pictures, their "Take Time for Joy" book and pre-ordered their new book coming out called " Wonderous West Shore." Looking forward to receiving this book in the mail.

Several weeks ago we selected two of Todd Reed's photographs to be printed on metal. That scheduled our return to Ludington. Todd and Brad know how to capture the true beauty of Michigan. The results are stunning on metal. We wanted them framed, so we returned to Timeless Picture Framing across the street. There are many frame shops but few artists of high caliber like Robert. If you need framing, Robert is highly recommended. These are two Ludington treasures.

Stopped in looking for new photos of lighthouses. Found 6 photos that we really liked. They have specials on the photos.
We had a nice conversation with Todd again this trip. You have to love it when an owner takes the time to come up front to assist the employee that I was talking with
Their gallery is amazing. The wide selection of photos that they have taken and continue to take are appealing to pretty much everyone.

Brad and Todd Reed know how to capture to beauty of Michigan. They have compiled their photography into many books that are a great addition to any library. Their store on Ludington Avenue in Ludington will intrigue and offer displays of their finest work.
