Another Michigan Lighthouse

What a place, Nice park and the best sunset views anywhere on the east side of Lake Michigan. Car ferry is right there so you can catch a glimpse of the ship too..

This lighthouse is easily accessible right from the city beach, Stearns Park, with parking close by. There is a small gift shop inside and a tour of the lighthouse is available for a small charge. There is always a crowd during the season and the gift shop and tours are only available from about mid-May to Labor Day week. It... More

Nice view out on the pier and quick climb to the top. This lighthouse has some steep ladder stairs and made me a little nervous with my 3 year old. We all made it to the top though and enjoyed the view!

A must to see if in the area. Plenty of parking, clean sandy beach along with close shopping. A must see

Enjoy the beautiful walk down the pier to this awesome lighthouse. I recommend sitting at the base of the lighthouse and watching the the boats go by, watching the sunset or watching the SS Badger leave in the evening.

Nice half to 3/4 mile walk out to the light. For 5 dollars you can go up into the lighthouse, we opted not to this time around. There is also a small gift shop in the base of the lighthouse. Be sure to check out the picture taken of the lighthouse during a storm on November 10, 1975.

Stroll to the Breakwater Light to enjoy seeing the Badger head out or head home, see the sunset, watch commercial or pleasure craft, enjoy the breezes, being on land surrounded by water...or all of the above. DO NOT venture out in bad weather or high waves or you might experience the rocks and water too closely for comfort. You may... More

If you are leaving from Ludington or arriving from Manitowoc you receive an excellent view of the light at the border of open water and sheltered harbor. If you want an up close and personal visit, you can walk the 1/2 mile breakwater to the light. Tours are offered.

I've watched the Breakwater light all my life, and I'm 64 years old traveling to Ludington, MI. I've never not enjoyed going to Ludington North Breakwater Light. August 2015-November 2015..
