Dog Friendly Beach!!

A must stop if you have a pup who loves the water. Great lake Michigan beach that is a bit off the beaten path.

Love how private and peaceful this beach is. We watched the car ferry leave Ludington, enjoyed the sand and water.

We loved it. Took our three dogs and they had a blast. The beach was very quite and relaxing which was great. The beach was clean!

My dog learned to swim here :) No facilities but a nice sandy, clean, dog-friendly beach. We all swam together.

Get here early because the parking lot is small. There are no real public facilities on this small, out of the way beach, but there are plastic bags for doggie doodoo and a place to throw it away. Easy walk to the water too!

Love, love, love this park!! Even though the seasonal's have taken over the sites that overlook the water. This is still a great hidden gem to camp at. Best part; you can take your dogs on the beach!!

Scenic sight for campers on the bluff of Lake Mi and beaches. Very busy and sometime a waiting list to get in but worth it.

The beach area of Buttersville Park is dog-friendly (Note: the City beach and state park do not allow dogs on their beaches). We did not visit or stay at the park itself (which has RV sites and, I believe, campsites) as we were only there for the beach. Oh, the beach - our black lab, Gunner, thoroughly enjoyed it -... Mostly cater to locals. Can make reservations one day a year in person. When I was there firework use was out of control and going on until 3am. Dogs were unleashed and barking past midnight and again at 7am. So. If you own a dog and want to bring it on the beech, party all night, and have rules not... More

This is a great beach that everyone would enjoy cruising to. It's near White Pine Village and has reasonably easy access to the beach below. My daughters love rushing down the dunes, but we take the longer path up because it has a slight incline.
