My family of 4 camped in the Pines campground for 2 nights and were extremely impressed with the entire park. Clean bathrooms, quiet neighbors, and drop dead gorgeous sunsets over Lake Michigan just up the dunes behind our campsite. The easy hike to Big Sable Lighthouse was a highlight along with the Lost Lake Trail. Sites are close together but... More

We love art, we love nature. This park offers both. We come here to do photo shoots, and sketch. We bring a lunch of course, meet others with our same affections.

We love the trail system around Lost Lake and also the kayaking in all seasons. The summer hike to the lighthouse was a highlight and one we recommend.

Gorgeous dunes. Beautiful forest. Great trails. Go right now. Our favorite thing to do with our four year olds is to collect sticks on the ground, go to the bridge over the dam, throw the sticks in the river and watch them go over the dam. The kids just love it.

This park is great anytime of year. Swim area, many trails, my favorite is the seven island trail. You cross bridges as the trail winds out and about Hamlin lake. There are birds, wild blueberries( in season) squirrels, deer, turtles, fish, benches for relaxing n viewing. There is a concession stand at Hamlin lake beach area, also kayak and paddle... More

This is one of the nicest state parks I have ever been in. It is well marked and has tons of camping sites and hikes. There is a warming hut and restrooms. We hiked the easy 1.8 miles out to the lighthouse taking a detour via the old ship ruins and onto the beach. It was well worth the hike.

The beach could not be any more beautiful and the dunes could not be any more of a workout climbing all of the way to the lighthouse but the hiking was also a great afternoon to work off the ice-cream from the night before! The trails allow for you to head back at different locations or you can take the... More
