Best beach around

We went at the end of July. Water was warm enough to swim in. Nice bathrooms to change clothes at beach house. I wish there was more places to eat good, real food instead of fake food like products. Maybe a cafe or something. I highly recommend renting bikes from the camp ground and going for a bike rode. Beautiful... More

I finally found a great beach spot in Michigan. We had to wait for a parking space later in the day, but it was totally worth it. The beach walk is wonderful and the beach house is also very nice, with an upper observation level. They have a walkout to the water, so it is very easy to cross the... More

We drove through the park to check things out & walk around for a bit. It was beautiful. The trail we walked ended up being completely paved, which I thought was nice. While we were walking we passed a lady pushing a wheelchair, so it's great that people are able to see the park & don't have to go "off... More

The park has a great trail network, and two beaches: one on Hamlin Lake and one on Lake Michigan. The camp grounds are usually filled through the summer.

My family and I went to this park 2 days in a row. $9.00 to get in the whole day. Beautiful scenery and clean water. We did prefer Lake Erie as oppose to lake Hamlin. We did spend time at both. The river is excellent for tubing, if you're into that. We really enjoyed the trails near Lake Hamlin that... More

We recently visited Ludington for a week long camping trip and really enjoyed the park! There was plenty to do in the park - river floating, trails, lighthouse, beaches, boat rentals - canoes, kayaks, paddle boats - and TONS of bicyclists...they even had bikes for rent. The park was PACKED during our stay but there was still privacy on little... More

Fantastic is the word to summarize how cool is this Park! Two lakes connected by a river, miles of trails , historic points, concession stand clean and pristine with a free museum inside to learn about the Lake Michigan history! are few things to name that this Park has! Come and visit! You won't regret it!

A nice place to drop in and see the river, dam and activities going on there. Lots of folks camping, fishing, boating, floating and kayaking there. Very accessible with lots of parking!
