One visit and you'll see why this is considered the TOP state Park in Michigan. SOOOOOOOOO beautiful. Very large, many winding trails. On the beach of Lake Michigan's white sands. They have lots of camping spaces at this park. There's so much to do. Swimming, fishing, tubing, camping. There's a beautiful, large building right on the beach that has concession... More

Its been 20 years since we last visited Ludington State Park. Ludington the town and surrounding area has grown...all the big box stores and restaurants. But the State Park hasn't changed. It's still one of the nicest places to sit and watch the water, whether Lake Michigan or one of the smaller lakes, and relax. The trails are also some... More

Beautiful, well-maintained state park with beaches where you can relax or visit a lighthouse, great trails, and a river walk around the dam area. We spent several hours there walking and enjoying nature, and learning about the history of the area. Great place to spend a day outside, and capture beautiful photos!

This is a beautiful serene park. I highly recommend for couples, families, or even for some soul searching on your own. The views are breathtaking and the walks can be easy to moderate depending on whether or not you climb the stairs to see the tree top views (worth doing for sure)! At the risk of sounding political, don't let... More

While visiting the west shore of Michigan my wife & I decided to visit the park. It is an amazing ride in surrounded by sand dunes. Once in the park we drive back to the Hamlin dam at back of park & seen the spectacular sites. There are very nice paths that lead through the wilderness. There are spots near... More

On our first trip here, we soon realized we'll be back for more. There is plenty to do. Next time we'll bring our bikes for the great bike trails. Or our kayaks for the river float between Hamlin Lake and Lake Michigan. We'll definitely bring our hiking shoes because there are lots of trails to explore. The Big Sable Lighthouse... More

This was on our bucket list for the summer. It was easy to find and a beautiful drive. This area of Michigan is worth the drive from where ever you are coming from. The scenery & beaches are pristine & very family friendly

Our family enjoyed unseasonably warm temperatures during our midwinter break by hiking the trails. They are beautiful, well-maintained, and it was fun to stop in the hiking cabin along the way.
