This is such an amazing park! It's very clean and family-friendly. There are good spots for camping, though my family stayed in the Beechwood mini-cabin. The beaches were beautiful, and the sand dunes were amazing. The hike to the Big Sable Point Lighthouse wasn't too...More

Love going here during the summer and spending time on the beach. The best part is the harbor side where you can skip rocks for hours.

Take a walk to the lighthouse, but take the loop route, so you can enjoy the sand dunes on the way out and forest on the way back. We've done other trails here too, you can't go wrong with whichever you choose!

Ludington State Park has been a summer camping tradition for over 30 years. We love the park in the summer and wanted to see it in the winter. It did not disappoint us. Frozen lake Hamlin foot path to walk through the woods. Beautiful!

Snowshoes were a perfect choice after a huge snow storm. We walked from the parking through the campground 1.5 miles to the lighthouse. It was cold and very windy, but Lake Michigan was spectacular with the snow and ice in the foreground.

I thought we were just going to do the 2 mile hike around the lake... I was WRONG! We kept finding more and more trails and amazing views and climbing on the ridges and dunes. It took 4 hours to do 8 miles but we...More
