Great spot for beginners

Stopped to play nine holes on our way to Pennsylvania. Not crowded, so we stepped right out. The staff in the club house was friendly, cordial, and professional. Rates were inexpensive, so be sure and play here if you are on a budget. Fairways are wide, and there are very few obstacles or trouble areas. Had a wonderful time!

I've been playing around or two of golf here for years. It was mis-owned abused for years by a family that knew zero about golf. Now, it appears to be under new ownership and anything they do is for the better. If they would get in a mid-priced buffet and start drawing for the local industrial park it would be a fun 9 holes (albeit not a beautiful course) and a quick meal for a good price. Nonetheless, the beer is cold and the new owner wants to learn the business quickly. I give them credit and hope they keep working on the course and the kitchen- it could be a needed in a rural and quiet area to find fun.

A Country Golf Course

Played Litchfield Greens today. I had played this course a number of years before when it's name was Jenkins Golf Course. It is a 9-hole par-36 course. There are 2 sets of tees, 3,172 and 2,716-yards. There is a pond on one hole, no sand bunkers. The course is very flat and easy to walk. Course was in pretty good condition. The downside is the holes are not marked and you can get lost finding the next hole. Also there is no map of the course and no yardage markers on the course. It would not take much to improve the playability on this tract and therefore the fun of playing here..

LaRays Restaurant

I didn't golf here, but did eat at the restaurant. The sanwich I got was pretty good, as was the cream of asparagus soup. But the double fried french fries were outstanding! Try them with the malt vinigar. Service was very good too.
