It was a PRIMO day on the waters of Lake Michigan outside of Leland. As a Grandfather, I wanted to share a fishing adventure with my son in law and grandson on Father's Day. Captain Dave, and his father Jeff, provided us with an experience we will never forget. In the first 45 minutes we caught our limit of Lake Trout and my grandson hooked one that was nearly as big as him. Later, we found a location where we caught Cisco just about every cast. Captain Dave's knowledge of fishing is vast. He is a food teacher. The quality of his equipment is second to none. If you want a memorable experience with a true professional, look no further.

Captain Dave was excellent. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He has excellent equipment and we were very successful fishing. I recommend him highly, and would use him again when the opportunity arose. He has a beautiful boat. The weather was excellent. We had two couples. One couple was not knowledgeable about fishing and he was excellent helping them. Overall a great experience.

Captain David is wonderful! This was a 'first' charter and 'first' catch for my teenage son. David was intuitively helpful and all-around fun. It had been years since I was out fishing, and I really appreciated David's patience in answering my questions about fishing on Lake Michigan. Thanks David for making the best day of our entire vacation!

Want to make a lasting summer memory?! Book a trip with with Captain David of Tug of War! Enjoy the knowledge and humor from thee best local fisherman. You'll be impressed with Captain David's experience and of course you'll enjoy reeling in large Lake Trout (and if you're lucky even a King Salmon). Be prepared to have one of the best times and an appetite for a big catch. Cheers to the best charter!

Captain David provided an absolutely great experience for my family. We booked him last minute and he exceeded our expectations. Very knowledgable and personable, he provided an unforgettable afternoon of fishing for Lake Trout. We will use David again next time we go out fishing.

We had a great day out and first charter fishing experience with Captain Dave. Our 5 and 10yo daughters both loved reeling in the trout. We really appreciated his flexibility and advice to get us out on a day that wasn't too choppy to keep it fun for the kids. We had Carlsen's clean our catch and cooked the big one whole on an open fire that night. It was all so much easier than I'd imagined!

I recently took a trip with Capt. David on the Tug of War and it was such a fun experience! David is professional, knowledgeable, and an expert in Great Lakes fishing. Not only did we catch a cooler full of fish but I learned a ton had a great time doing it. I am excited for our next adventure out and couldn’t recommend him more as a charter Captain in Fishtown. Thank you for the great memories!

David was a great communicator. It was foggy so we went out on his dad’s boat. Caught our limit in lake trout, then tried for salmon for a while. Did half day in the afternoon on a Sunday. Arranged for dinner at cove to eat our catch. Great with our 14 and 10 year old daughters. Highly recommend.

Great day on the lake with Captain Dave.
Besides the successful fishing Dave was extremely freindly and knowledegable. Interatced with our younger children in a very postive fashion....would recommend highly.

Dave was super awesome! He was patient with us on our girls weekend - kept a close eye on the lines and guided us through each reel in. We had an amazing time and plan to do it again soon! We caught a couple salmon and trout.
