This is the type of mall you would expect in a town the size of Lansing. There are good dining options like Chipotle and Panera.

Nice little mall, sadly it has a few empty areas. Parking is convenient and can usually find a place near an entrance. Many mall walkers use this space too.

Horrible business practices. The mall has been dying for years and to combat that they have added the practice of age profiling. My 15 year old daughter received some mall gift cards for her birthday and wanted to go shopping with one of her friends and then go watch a movie at the attached theater. I dropped them off by the theater entrance and went to get some lunch down the street. It was a Saturday afternoon. Before I even left the parking lot my daughter texted me and said Mall Security rudely approached them and said they are not allowed in the mall with out a parent. Are you kidding me? She told the ego maniac cop want a be that she was heading to the make up store Sopheria then to a movie. He escorted them to Barnes and Nobles and said don't move until your dad gets here. I would think a mall that is in Bankruptcy and near closing would encourage any business it could get. If you have had past problems with teenagers then hire security guards who can do thier job and just deal with those kids who are creating the problem, don't discriminate all teenagers. If they are not causing a problem what is the big deal? Anyway, I bought her gift cards from her, took her to the other Sopheria location at the Eastwood mall (where teenagers are welcome) and the Lansing mall location lost out on $200 of business plus they saw the movie at the theater at the other mall. I'm not sure if the remaining few businesses at the Lansing mall are on board with the teenager policy but if I owned a store in that dying mall I would fight it tooth and nail or pull out like the other smart businesses did. I live 5 miles from the Lansing Mall and will never step foot in there. I won't even redeem the cards I had to buy from my daughter, I will just give them as a gift to someone else. DUMB POLICY. The place is always a ghost town, even during Christmas and the food court is horrible. Drive the extra few miles and go to the Meridian Mall in Okemos or Eastwood Town Center where all customers are welcome all the time.

Stopped at Lansing Mall while on the west side of Lansing. Many stores were closed. There were people in the mall that did leave me comfortable. Unless I want a specific store will pass on shopping here.

There is a JC Penny and Barnes and Noble here as anchor stores. Most everything else is either closed or catered to ethnic fashion. Malls are just not what they used to be. :(

Sadly, this mall seems to be part of a dying breed. I've always loved indoor malls--you can go inside away from the weather of rain, snow, wind, cold, hot temperatures---and go store to store and shop. I love this shopping model. I cannot understand why indoor malls, like this one, are dying. Many of the stores here have moved out to stand alone locations, which means less convenience and more exposure to weather elements as one is shopping. JCPenney and Barnes & Noble are the only anchor stores left in Lansing Mall. It's very sad. There is a nice new theater. I just wish it could be revitalized with new stores coming in. I'd be shopping there a lot more, like I used to.

As a young man, I worked at the mall in the mid 70's when it was bustling with business most every day. Now it's sad to see its demise. Only one anchor store remains and it's reported to be in financial trouble. I counted 37 vacant stores and the remaining stores hardly had any customers. This was on a Friday night too. I'll be really surprised if they remain open after the holidays.

This once bustling gem of a mall is circling the drain. TWO restaurants closed after Veteran's Day. The food court is one small pizza place. It is 90% empty as of 11/22/2019 and no new tenants moving in. Can't blame online shopping. Dozens of people walk it every day for exercise. My first job was there. I haven't been there in two years. It makes me sad.

We always stop by this mall on our way through Lansing. Last time was 3 years ago. This time we were surprised and saddened by what we found. Most of the stores were closed, and the few that were there did not have a lot of stock in them. The winner would have to be TJ Maxx, even they didn't have a lot to offer. It was 7 o'clock on a Thursday evening and there were just a handful of people in the mall. I remember when this place was very busy with much to offer, but not now. I won't be surprised if the next time through town we see this mall closed. Sorry to see! But I saw a lot of this happening on our road trip through the States.
