What a Jewel Creole is. After spending a great day at the MSU craft show we had a chance to take our grand daughter to dinner. Being from St.Clair Shores, MI we were not familiar with the Lansing area. She suggested Creole. When we arrived we were met by Sophie and Roger the managers. They greeted us as if they... More

I crave a filet mignon often, but I order one only every five years. Luckily, I was at the Creole when the time came. The five-ounce is a perfect size, medium-rare, done just right. The onion soup is an ideal prelude. Companions enjoyed duck and pasta with vegetables. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. The wine was fulfilling. To... More

Food is great. The vegetables dishes are amazing. The selection of French wine is the best in the area for sure. If you want a table on the weekend make sure you get a reservation.

We visited on a Thursday night. We got right in but I would recommend reservations as the restaurant was small. The waiter was very helpful and explained the menu as I have not tried Creole food before. We picked out several plates and shared them. Everything was delicious. We had a great time trying new foods. This wouldn't be a... More

Food was really terrific. Service was a little odd but didn't detract from dinner. Gumbo was nice and smokey. Pork shank very good steak good. The roasted chicken was the real standout. Beignets out of this world. I do think they need to read their own letter to customers in the menu. Describing each dish as sharable is a bit... More

This used to be a gallery. It's now the latest hot spot in Old Town for amazing top of the line food and an incredibly creative cocktail list and full beer/wine menus.

We were walking about Old Town on a beautiful Indian Summer Sunday, and noticed that the Creole bar was open. We strolled in, and relaxed by sitting in some of the wing back leather chairs they have. The friendly barmaid took our drink order, and proudly told us of all the changes and plans in store for the place. We... More

Mr. Busby was a genius! Whenever I visit this gallery, I am pulled into art in a way that I never thought I could appreciate! It's so quaint and cozy and when I have attended functions where there is food and music flowing, I NEVER feel like I'm anywhere near Lansing, MI - has the feel of New York or... More

This has been a Lansing landmark for years. Whether you are at the Creole for music or art, it's a great place to kick back and visit. The atmosphere is classic Oldtown with brick walls and hardwood floors. Great management, very friendly. Def a place to check out.
