Great walking and biking trail

Great place to go walking. Well maintained and feels safe during the day. I have talked from downtown at Kzoo street all the way to Turner Dodge House. A gem in Lansing.

Don't miss this feature of the area, which has been largely unnoticed as it has grown and expanded and improved over the past decade. It is now an amazing and well-used set of routes through downtown and out to parks. A wonderful summer, spring, and fall place to walk and bike!

Well kept trail. Clean and a nice length. However there have been problems with some weird people approaching those using the trails so go with a companion.

The Riverwalk was a very nice experience. Lots of people are out while we were there. as you walk by we got to see wood ducks, there were places to eat, grill and fish. so lots of things to do at this nice walk

The River Trail is excellent for visitors and residents, alike. It offers a refreshing look at Lansing's natural beauty and you can get from Old Town to MSU's Campus! Great for fun or exercise.

The Lansing Region is so blessed to have this great trail in downtown, going out east to MSU and south to Hawk Island Park. If you go to MSU don't forget to stop at the Dairy Store. You can walk, jog, or bike this awesome trail. If you go slow enough and are patient, you will see deer in the... More

Have been many times on the trail. There are times it gets a little crowded in areas to bike ride, but most of the time fine to bike, run or walk. They are adding to the south. Can ride from MSU to Turner house and back for about 11 mi.

My husband and I bike this trail frequently. It's well maintained, but it floods often. It's great if you want to bike from the south side of Lansing to downtown, East Lansing or MSU, without riding in busy streets. Can't wait to go back in the spring.

This is a really enjoyable trail system that crisscrosses the river on scenic footbridges, passes thru Michigan State University campus, along the city waterfront, and ends up in Old Town, where there are loads of excellent eateries. But if there's been a hard rain, watch out: flash flooding can put sections of this path under water very quickly.
