This charming cottage stop left a little to be desired. The tasting felt very rushed and the staff could not offer much info about the wines we were tasting. The do have a chocolate and wine pairing that we did not try but the smell of the chocolate filled the air and might have been a nice addition to the wine tasting.

The Aurora Winery is perched on a hill offering beautiful views from a tented pavilion and Adirondack chairs. We visited during the pandemic, so CDC guidelines were followed by employees and guests. When we arrived, a hostess greeted us in a friendly manner and explained how we could order wine by the glass or flights. We each ordered a glass of wine and headed for the chairs where we plopped down to drink wine and drink in the view. While we only had the one glass of wine each, we enjoyed the wine and purchased a bottle for home. Every employee we encountered was friendly. Definitely worth another visit.

We stopped here on a rainy day which meant no outside seating so lets say it was cozy inside ! but the lady doing the tasting was handling it well . our two favorite wines were Luminous and Radiance both blends , one white, one red..we ended up getting a couple bottles of each..a good stop even if it was " cozy"

Aurora you've made my top three (not an easy status to attain), and we've been to dozens of Michigan wineries. Wife and I loved every wine we tasted. BEST Michigan Pinot Noir I've tasted. Bought it.
They have one amazing red blend too. Should've bought that.
Wife loved the Vignoles and Serata Demi Sec.
Aurora you're smacking it clear out of the park.

Aurora Cellars looks like a nice place but they have very little care for their customers. A couple friend of mine needed to cancel their wedding due to the Covid situation and were given NONE of their 10,000 dollar deposit. During this time of financial hardship for many, Aurora Cellars chose to compound the misery of a couple who had to cancel their wedding instead of being more understanding, showing kindness and gaining appreciation of their customers. DO NOT BOOK if you ever expect to see your money again. I would never recommend this venue to anyone!

We visited on a Monday so it was not crowded. We received a free tasting card from Good Harbor Vineyards, so we stopped here. Bonnie was very nice and served us our samples. We didn't care much for the wine or cider, so we tipped her and moved on.

Not sure how these 5 stars got on here maybe a promotional deal but average wine at best but the service was the main reason this deserves 1star. Never have I met a more arrogant, displeasing owner. Sad to see considering the beautiful location in the hands of a greedy human being.

With the number of wineries in the area you would think they would at least provide a more competitive tasting. The 5 pours amounted to less that one glass. It was not worth the money.

We came here with family and everyone was friendly, physically distanced, good wine, and nice atmosphere. Would return.

Is your outdoor area dog friendly?

They have a large outdoor area for occasional free concerts. I don’t recall seeing any dogs there but have not seen any “no pets allowed “ signs either.
