Had played 20 years ago when the course was in rough shape, and was hesitstant to joined a friend there today. Boy, was pleasantly surprised! Can't say enough about in the qualify of the greens. Smooth and consistent, and not at all slow! An entertaining layout. It's a bit short, even for a daily-fee course, but compensates by requiring some accuracy, without being brutal to an average player. Just about every hole has some safe zones, but alternatively, can reward someone who "goes for it" One hole has severe drainage limitations, but was easily overlooked.

Drove from Detroit to use Golf Advisor coupon at this course. Pleasantly surprised! Challenging, fun and beautifully maintained. Wish it wasn't two hours away, I would be here every week!

We love this local gem. New owner has breathed new life into this golf course. We notice continuing improvements at every visit. We are always greeted warmly and staff goes out of their way to make us happy. Course is well maintained and is a good value. Love to recommend this spot.

Worst golf ever and I’ve been golfing over 30 years. Had to stop play so the disc golfers could play. They were playing right along side of us in groups of 6 and more with carts. It was unbelievable. Their frisbees were going across our fairway. Seriously. We stopped play because I wasn’t even sure of disc etiquette. The disc golfers were obnoxious and loud. I kept looking around like we were being punked. Finally the ranger cane along and I asked him about it. He sided with the disc golfers saying that they were a big part of the golf course. I told him they were in our way and he asked if that was a problem. Omg. We left the course. We paid $22 for 18 holes. We played 8 and left. The ranger was a total fool and so were the disc golfers. Don’t waste your money.

Came out at 7:30 am. Two groups ahead of us. No big deal. Guy decides to mow every hole we are on. We stop to let him get ahead of us for fifteen min. He continues to mow the holes we're on... then proceeds to act put off when we want to shoot. Parks off to side and instead of killing engine on mower, allows it to idle and continues to rev it to prevent it from dying in the middle of our shots. On one hole he whistles at us and screams at us to wait for him...
No etiquette. Not the usual experience at this course but definitely the worst.

i tell everyone about this course and alot of people dont know where it is.
the owners and staff are great people, i had a cart that needed a little TLC and when the course ranger came to me and ask me if i needed anything i was joking and said maybe a new cart! he says i dont know if we can so he drove away. we got to the next hole and behold he had a new cart for us. thank you ranger.
Also another time a huge storm came through and that same ranger made sure we were safe and had us go back to the clubhouse. good prices on beer as well.

Played Pine Hills for the first time in a number of years. It has improved, but still needs more work. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The course was in god condition and they were trying to keep the greens clear of falling leaves. OK if in the area. Three sets of tees measuring 4,044-, 4803- and 5,138-yards. There is a liitle water and a few sand traps.
