We loved this lake, so clear and nicely kept. Such silence, just the frogs having fun in the water... Visitors should expect not to have services (toilets etc.) in the area but there are restaurants out and close. The small chapel is worth a visit....More

A beautiful site, with clear waters and the view of the mountains. Local merchants sell local goods, like honey, cheese and more! The only downside is the tough dirt road if you coming from the Goura village.

The historic lake in Feneos valley has long since been drained, and this is a new beauty. A lake set among mountains, deep blue water, golden reeds, dark green forests and snow capped peaks all around. The church, horserired for children, and local produce bazar...More

went to the quaint church on the lake for the church service celebrating agios fanourios --everyone takes baked sweets and after the church you share your baked goods with everyone at the church--what a lovely tradition. Enjoyed the setting, the church service and of course...More

Enjoy the silence and calmness of the view. There is a small church near the lake and only a few hundred meters away, you will find a beautiful old monastery, the monastery of St. George.

This is a place of stunning beauty: an artificial lake with a small church in the middle, and around the reflections of the forest in the lake waters. But reality is a little different. Heavily visited by people that do not respect the natural tranquility...More

A small artificial lake created to attract tourists. Nothing special (nothing to do with Plastira lake in Thessaly), with really terrible never maintained road to approach. The “main attraction” is a small church a few meters inside the lake which would have been a beautiful...More

Well it’s not recommended. It has very muddy waters and because it’s artificial lake, it has trees inside etc.
