Visited during March. The lake has a great view and is great to have a quick picnic. On top of the mount is a small monastery which is a must do. Inside thw monastery there is a "Krifo Scholio" which was a secret schoold for teaching Greek and the Christian doctrine during the Ottoman rule.

Last time i was here it was 15 years ago… Back then, you would rarely see another person, other than the ones visiting the monastery.
Now, hundreds of people are trekking, camping and enjoying the lake and the forest. A fantastic site that everyone must see. Bring snacks and drinks and enjoy the alpine scenery. Just remember not to leave any traces of your visit behind :)
The only drawback is the local bazar which you can avoid easily.
Definitely a recommendation

Fancy a swim in cool fresh water, then head for Doxa lake. A day out for family or friends but take your drinks and picnic with you. There are tavernas nearby but relax by the lake its worth the trip if you like the mountains and open country.

I loved this place. High mountain amazing technical make lake. Don't know about the fish. Nature is beautiful. Gorgeous. Many people coming to visit this place. High trees. Just the road was difficult very high many curves on the road and road is not very good. You passed many small amazing villages . We had lunch at Stymfalia . Recommended

A man-made lake on the mountains of Corinth, near the villages of Feneos and Goura.
You can stay at one of the nearby villages, there is plenty of hostels that can accommodate you, and enjoy the local cuisine of the area, and have some sport activities, like canoe-kayak inside the lake or bike around the lake.

And amazing lake, with a beautiful forest around, and a little church in the middle. Try not to visit it on weekends, prefer working days, so you can enjoy all the peace, quietness and calmness of the landscape.

Starting from the trip to the lake, fantastic scenery, passing from the Stymfalia lake, driving through nature and ancient monuments you will arrive to lke Doxa, (Δόξα),
Glory in English. The view is breath taking. There is a small church near the lake and only a few hundred meters away, you will find a beautiful old monastery, the monastery of St. George. I entered the monastery alone and i found my self surprised from the beauty of the place... I was taking some photos as a guy, plain clothes, invited me to go up to treat me "something", i accepted the invitation and he welcomed me there, he offered me sweet rose and cold water, he asked me if i wanted to sit and catch my breath and when i would like to go check out the view from the balcony, (STUNNING...).
It is a very old building and welcomes all visitors from any country or religion.

The lake is beautiful and serene. Make the effort to get there. There is a tiny very old church which you can still enter at any time. We sat in the sun on a wharf outside the church and you could see original stonework of the original church from centuries ago. Like a lot of Greece, this is pure and non-touristy. We loved the sweet baby donkeys grazing close by. Around the lake there are small towns all with a taverna that offers lots of local produce to eat!

We have discovered lake Doxa two years ago, and I have to say it is one of my favorite destinations for a small trip in Greece. Magnificent scenery, in summer or winter, pieceful, great place for a family walk. A really unforgetable view, make sure you taste the local products (especially the cheese and the rusks), I always get some for home, and if you have a bit more time, make the effort to see the old Monastery near by. A great great destination, I will go back !!!

If you're on the mountainous region of Corinth, it's definitely worth visiting Lake Doksa, which is surrounded by forest and has a small chapel right in the middle of the lake. There are some picnic benches around the lake if you would like to have a snack while enjoying the view!
