this museum has a very good, eclectic permanent collection and temporary exhibits, usually with local artists. they offer many classes for the amateur and even beginning artists in many mediums. my favorite events is the Noontime lectures

The KIA offers numerous art classes throughout the year. I finished a twelve week clay class and learned a tremendous amount, as well as, enjoyed the community of students, instructors, and artists all working in the same space.
