At Kalamazoo Institute of Arts I studied Sketchbook journaling and I really enjoyed the show by Suzanne badger which the class went to. Susan taught us many techniques watercolor. She also shared with us her sketchbooks.

You never know what you will see at this venue! The Tiffany Exhibit last year was great and this year the winners of Art Hop graces the galleries. There are changing exhibits for all tastes. Stop in and support the arts!

Very affordable, great art, people who leave you alone and let you enjoy it, some awesome things brought in from time to time such as the Chihuly glass pieces that are a fixture. If you love art ..you'll love this place.

For a small city Kalamazoo has a first rate art institute. They attract excellent traveling shows (for example, the National Geographic exhibit). Their own collection is solid and they host events and give very reasonably-priced classes.

We enjoyed our visit to the Institute of Arts. They had a nice size collection and a variety of styles and media. We were lucky and they also had the high school winners of the county art show. It was only $5.00 to visit so you definitely get your money's worth. The gift shop has some unique and fun items.

$5 to get in and the visit will take up to 2 hours if you look at everything. Good value, and helpful staff. Good place to stop for "in between" other events. Next door to Kalamazoo House B&B

Very nice museum with a small but good collection. My favorite pieces are in the lobby itself - a beautiful blue Frankenthaller and two Michigan themed paintings. Free parking right across the street.
