Today we visited Cascade falls. I was really nervous about hiking for just under a mile with a 7yr old and someone that has stability issues. This is an great hike with a beautiful tiered waterfall. It’s not a huge falls but still beautiful! The hike did not seem like it was that long! I would definitely recommend taking the time to visit these falls. Bring bug spray depending on the time of year you visit.

Beautiful park setting. Been visiting for years. Several changes throughout time, but the city/county is fortunate that this property was left as a legacy from the Sparks family. Quite the attraction of unusual viewing

The Cascade Falls are an old, standby attraction. A perfect place to wile away some time on a summer night. Children love this place, because they can walk up and down the steps surrounding the falls and if they are in the mood, they might do a little dancing! The music and lights are fun. The music includes classics and some oldies, but some updated music would be nice. I understand that it is no easy undertaking to "create" a new light show to a new song. Some might consider the place kitschy, but I would say it''s just classic summer entertainment. The place has snack bars, a small museum, lots of seating and is always very clean. Take a blanket or jacket in case the evening turns cool!

There was a $3.00 admission fee per person to enter the Cascade Falls area. These are man-made falls within the park. We didn't mind paying the money as it was an enjoyable evening. We got there just before 9pm and the falls were lit up and background music was playing. The colours changed from each section.
We climbed the stairs to the top to get a different view of the falls. At the bottom of the falls are washrooms, small snack bar, museum in honour of the founder Mr. Sparks and then rows of stadium type seating.
At 10:00 pm, after playing of the National Anthem the light show began. As the music played the colours of the falls "danced" to the music.
It was a nice way to spend a warm summer evening.

Gorgous old fountain that lights up. Sometime they play old 40's music while it's lit, other nights they have a blow up screen and a movie going. Good times.

We loved the the falls! The grandchildren enjoyed running up and down while the grandparents listened to the music provided on family night.

The Falls are beautiful as always, but my favorite is the ice cream! We live close enough to walk, and it’s fun to go over with family and play on the park, eat ice cream, and see the Falls!

Deceiving name. Just water flowing down a concrete wall with lights on it! Not a natural waterfall or even an attempt to make it look like a real waterfall. Disappointing !

The cascade falls are rich with history and a beautiful site to see. If in the area, we consider it a must see! The vibrant colors synced to music makes it enjoyable for visitors of all ages. Families with young children will appreciate the enclosed area for kids to run free and explore the falls.

Sorry for taking so long to answer your question. The park is always open but the falls don't operate except between memorial day- labor day.

Are the falls free and is it open every night or just weekends?

No, the falls are not free, but very reasonably priced. I believe a family admission is $10 for the entire family. Yes, the Cascades are open every night in the summer.
