The sites are fine enough and the bathrooms aren't too bad for primitive campers, but they don't monitor after hours AT ALL! The site next to us was incredibly loud, had no respect for others around them and couldn't care less. They literally went to bed when most of the campsite was waking up and fired up a generator at... More

We camped for 5 days. Knowledgeable & helpful staff. This is a busy park, recommend reservations. South side campsite was a nice size and had shade. There were many tent campers as the ground was mostly level. Showers in one bath house were very strong and water hurt when it hit the skin, water warm to cold (which could come... More

Interlochen State Park is Michigan's first state park. Next year is their centennial. This State Park has a beach, a boat launch & a camp store. Modern restrooms & showers. There used to be a nature trail, but the lady at the camp store told us that several trees have fallen across it & they haven't got around to cutting... More

While the park itself is beautiful and the lake is awesome. This was our second and last time ever going there. The park workers would come around at 10 oclock and tell everyone who was outside there trailer/tent/RV whatever it was and made you turn off the radio completely. it wasn't even loud at all. Last year we partied it... More

This was a clean, well maintained campground and as a woman camping alone, I felt very safe.(I've had some irritating experiences with drunks and fireworks) Rangers came around on bikes and in trucks just to check out the campground and teams of summer help were cleaning up vacant sites in the am. I thought the tree buffer between M-137 and... More

This State park has over 400 campsites, making it one of Michigan's largest campgrounds. not so much in land mass but in campsites alone. The camping is divided into north/south parks with the north, level ground and south more hilly. the beach area and camp store is located between the two which is all situated along the shores of beautiful... Stayed 3 nights (Duck Lake, north side, #170). We took our 6th old puppy and our sons (15 and 24.) Lots and lots of dogs there but everyone picked up after their pooches. Spaces were good size. Nice amount of trees and shade. Bathrooms/showers incredibly clean. Campstore is well stocked with necessities. Store includes ice cream shop and prepared foods... More

We stayed for 4 nights of camping at the end of June/early July 2016. The campsites are moderately spaced and pretty well shaded. The area is very sandy without much grass around the sites. Signs were posted by the swimming area warning about swimmer's itch. We towel dried well and didn't have a problem. The bathrooms were clean with hot... More

Camped on the South side, at site 474. Level, paved site, close to the rest room and water faucet. Super quiet even on the weekend, which is surprising for a state campground at the end of June. Alot of people fishing, walking, bicycle riding.

This is a state park, so no pool. However there are two large lakes, both full of fish. There is a beach, boat launches on each lake, and a store. The bathrooms are very clean and there are private showers. The only downside was the sites can get a little dirty. It's hard to keep grass on every site. There... More
