While camping at the state park, we purchased tickets in advance for the last night of the run. Outdoors, under the stars, very well done. We had great seats (although the front row is not the very best, you'll want to be back at least 5 rows.)

This is a beautiful place to see a concert. Open air with Green Lake in the background. Great place to picnic and tail gate before the concert. Very friendly and organized group of volunteers.

We have been there once or twice before for concerts but this was the first time we toured it in-depth since our son is going there soon for a three-week summer camp. This property is absolutely beautiful and large - 1200 acres and 450 buildings (although I am sure that includes many small cottages so it is not crowded. Everyone... More

Have been here numerous times, to see Garrison Keillor, to hear the World Youth Symphony, and to take a class in the Dulcimer. But what I really love is hearing the faculty and student concerts. Because this place has produced so many talented artists, makes me feel like I might be hearing the next Josh Grobin or pianist for one... More

Interlochen Center for the Arts is truly a gem in the Traverse City area. Their Summer program is also outstanding with many top name performers and groups.

Our daughter attended summer camp last year. Not only did she grow as a musician but she matured as an individual. She became much more confident, independent and assertive. We're thrilled that she had both an enjoyable and growing experience.

I've visited for Summer concerts, Winter ballets, indoor orchestra performances, and a high school graduation. The summer setting is spectacular and one-of-a-kind. The summer selection is wide. The indoor auditorium is wonderful and easily accessible. Parking is a downfall year round though.

We attended the free Sunday afternoon organ concert, consisting of a dozen high school students. The director said they had studied organ anywhere between weeks and years. Their selections were so well played that it was impossible to tell which was which! Other Sunday afternoon organ concerts are from professional organists from around the U.S. That evening we purchased tickets... More

My teenage actress daughter auditioned for and attended the summer acting camp this year. I knew nothing about Interlochen beforehand. Her hometown high school drama teacher on the East Coast had strongly recommended it. The place is fantastic, in a gorgeous setting, with extraordinary, state-of-the-art venues, more than 10 performance spaces, and thousands of talented students working hard to learn... More
