About
Action Wake Park is Michigan’s first, and only, full size cable watersports park. No longer is wakeboarding limited to only those who have access to a boat. Our facilities give guests the opportunity to rent all necessary equipment and learn how to wakeboard on our lake without the need for a boat. If you're looking to get outside and enjoy the summer, give us a try. Our helpful staff is ready to get you started weather you're an advanced rider or trying water sports for the very first time!

I went to this wake park weekly over the course of 2 months with classmates of mine. Our skill levels ranged from never wakeboarded before to people who could jump across the wake of their family motorboats. Despite this, every single person who showed up I feel was able to have a good time. The park and business is seriously underrated, go check it out whenever you get the chance!

I don't think I have ever smiled more than when I was at action. The staff always help us in anyway possible including letting a few of us use some of their personal boards. If you have ever wakeboarder before, I highly recommend this it is a totally new experience. The fact that we could just keep going around and around as many times as we could handle just added to the level of fun.

Our grandchildren come to visit every August from NC. We have taken them to Mich. Adventure, Craig's Crusiers, Hope College Theatre, dune schooners and the Duck among other activities. All very enjoyable and well run with polite and helpful staff. Action Wake was a disaster in spite of my husband checking it out a week before with reassurances that out two granddaughters age 11&14 would have excellent instruction and would be able to get up and enjoy the ride. Along with three other adults, all beginners, this did not happen. The girls continually fell off in the same spot at the back of the lake. They then had to carry the boards through the mud and trash all the way back to the start. There was a golf cart available but was not offered to do this. Staff just rode around in it. Staff laid in the sun on the hill not bothering to help anyone. Our girls kept trying long after the three adults quit. The turn they all fell on jerked the line from slack to tight and jerked them off. It was the second turn in the back of the lake. The staff just ignored them continually. No help at all. This should not be advertised for beginners. Older kids that have had experience probably on private boats were up and running, but they certainly didn't learn here. These people are rude and arrogant. This was the absolute worst experience we have ever had with the grandchildren.

Has a lot of fun everytime we went. They were very helpful on how to wake board and they were very positive. They gave us a football to throw around. Just always plenty of laughs and plent of fun.

First of all, I only visited the park to observe because I was told that it was very unique place to water ski or wake board. Personally, I have not water skied in many, many years. The concept and idea of a cable towing system that pulls you around in a large circle with some jumps along the way is quite ingenious. I stayed for a little while and watched a pretty good wake boarder go around several times. I would think this would be rather fun activity, as long as the crew is professional and attentive.

Amazing experience! I took my young nephews who have never tried watersports. They both were coached so well by the instructors and learned to kneeboard and Wakeboard the first hour during the suggested slower time! The staff was super nice and helpful. By far the cleanest and best landscaped cable park I have ever been to. Prices were reasonable and we even got free rental gear our first visit. We will be back!

We have been to Placid many times in the past and really enjoyed it but this new addition to Action is above and beyond awesome! The course is amazing, the set up if perfect. There are shaded tables and chairs to relax, there are yard games to hang out, food to purchase, the water is great, the wait time between runs is minimal. Staff is helpful and courteous. We will be back!
