We went up last week and golfed both Thursday and Friday and the course is in great shape. The greens were faster than I had thought they would be due to the heat so be prepared! As always the staff was always smiling and said hi each time we walked in the door, I recommend the Quest if you are in the area and are a golfer, or even for a day trip.

Played The Quest Golf Club on a beautiful day. An 18-hole course with 5 sets of tees. The longest tees are 6,782-yards and 5,025-yards from the shortest tees. A beautiful course that is both fun and challenging. There is water and sand on the course. A course worth driving several hours to play.

I have played many courses and this is my new favorite, with the large greens they can put the pins in different locations to make the approach shots different each day. The par 4's are really par fours and not always reachable in two, you have to hit good shots on each hole to keep your score down but for those that spray the ball you can bit left or right and still enjoy the round, just don't expect a par on that hole. The employees at the course are all friendly and make you feel like you are a member there and really appreciate you being at their course, it was a nice welcome compared to courses who take your money and rush you.

We found this coarse challenging and well mantained. Some of the greens have a couple of tiers which made it interesting being I was normally on the wrong one. Costs was hard to beat. We saw some golfers in t-shirts and even one in a "wife beater" so I would like to see their proper attire enforced. Also would have liked to have seen a ranger to keep an eye on the fivesomes that slowed play up. On the fourteenth tee we had three groups backed up because of a fivesome. That's unexceptable. Even with that I'd play the Quest again.

Thank you for the nice review! I'm sorry about the fivesome in front of you. We are making precedures this off season so something like that doesn't happen again. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

I played The Quest recently while on vacation with my family at Higgins Lake and really enjoyed it. The course was in fine condition, and the greens rolled really well. This was my first visit and it was a great value as well. I payed less than $40 to play 18 with a cart on a weekday. The staff, from the cart guy to the manager, was very friendly and since I was on the course very early, the maintenance staff was out mowing and those guys were very accommodating as well. If you're headed to this area, you should definitely play The Quest.

Course is always in great condition! Staff always hospitable. We play here every year while on our family vacation, it's a bit tougher and farther than Pineview but there's no comparison when it comes to Hospitality and Friendliness of staff! Great Job!

There are many places to golf while on vacation, and we decided to try our luck at The Quest. The course is a newer one, and while it is a beautiful course, it is a bit overpriced when compared to the older, more established courses around the Houghton Lake area. The course is challenging in many ways, but a discouraging part is the challenge to get to it in the first place. Unlike Pineview and White Deer, which are both on the main drag at Houghton Lake, the entrance to The Quest is off the beaten path. Make sure to have your GPS ready as it took us a couple tries to find it, even after calling the club house on the way. Once at the course, it is a really nice course, well-manicured and the clubhouse looks grand, but, as I said newer is not always better, I will have to stick to the more reasonably priced other golf clubs in the area.

I travel 3 hours to play the course each fall and if you have never played here, you need to put it on your list of courses to play. The front 9 and back 9 have totally different looks so you don't get bored and the greens roll true, but watch out for the subtle breaks you don't see until you putt the ball.
